It’s a very busy season for the international Disney parks!

Last year, Hong Kong Disneyland got a brand-new Frozen-themed land, and in June 2024, Tokyo DisneySea is getting the highly-anticipated Fantasy Springs expansion. Shanghai Disney Resort got a new Zootopia land in 2023 as well, but now, the resort is getting even more additions!
In a recent press release, Shanghai Disneyland announced that the resort began initial preparation work on a new attraction. This attraction will be located within Shanghai Disneyland, adjacent to the Zootopia area of the park.

This project is in the initial planning stages and resort shareholders and management will share more details as the planning continues. The goal of these recent expansions is to make Shanghai Disney Resort a multi-day destination for visitors.
We’ll be interested to see what all this new “attraction” entails — is it one ride or an entire new land? We can’t wait to get more details!

Toy Story Land was the resort’s first major expansion back in 2018, and currently, a third hotel is under construction for Shanghai Disneyland Resort. We’ll be interested to see how all these additions draw in visitors in the future.
