Let’s face it, when it’s hot in Disney World, the last thing you want to do is eat outside.

Like hot food on a hot day and you’re already sweating? No, thank you. But sometimes, it can’t be helped, especially at a lot of Disney World counter service locations that only offer outdoor seating. But believe it or not, ONE EPCOT counter service restaurant has SECRET indoor seating (as in AIR CONDITIONING) — you just have to know how to get it.
So let’s head on over to the Mexico Pavilion (like you weren’t going there for a margarita, anyway, right)? We’re sure plenty of you have eaten occasionally at the counter service restaurant there, La Cantina de San Angel. It’s pretty much the fastest way to get tacos and margaritas, after all, right? Well, you probably think that the only available seating at La Cantina de San Angel is outside.
It’s all outdoor seating, right?
You’d mostly be right in assuming that, but there’s a hack where you can actually pick up your food at La Cantina de San Angel and sit INSIDE. Now, you may know that there’s a restaurant nearby called La Hacienda de San Angel, right? Well, sometimes, La Cantina opens up a section of seating inside La Hacienda before the restaurant opens up so that there’s more seating available for everyone who dines there (freeing up the outdoor seating).

So, if you get to La Cantina de San Angel early enough, you might be able to place your order and then grab your food and sit INSIDE this section of La Hacienda de San Angel. INSIDE, you know…where there’s AIR CONDITIONING. It’s also a good tip for those rainy days when the wind is blowing the rain sideways and you just want to get out of the weather.

Now, we can’t guarantee this will always be the case, but it’s still good to know if you’re planning on eating at La Cantina — just plan to eat a little earlier than maybe you’d originally intended.
