Some of our favorite Disney World rides just aren’t loved as much by the rest of the population, and that’s okay.
That just means that there are shorter lines for us, so we can ride again and again! Typically, there are a few rides at Disney World that are almost always walk-ons for us. Emphasis on TYPICALLY. Occasionally, we see longer waits at these rides, which is typically a good indicator that things are BUSY in the parks. We’re now getting settled into the month of March, and spring break crowds are arriving. We figured it would be a bit busier than usual, but those quieter rides of ours told us all we needed to know. Check it out!
On March 11th, we headed into EPCOT and were greeted with ASTRONOMICAL wait times. Test Track is a pretty popular ride with wait times that can range anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes on an average day. This morning, it was at 70 MINUTES!
Oof! Maybe Test Track is…not the move this morning! 😲😬 pic.twitter.com/Qh81rYwTS1

Next up, we noticed that over in the Mexico Pavilion, Gran Fiesta Tour’s line was OUT THE DOOR. Gran Fiesta Tour is almost ALWAYS a walk-on. Sometimes, the line for La Cava del Tequila can look like this, but nope! Not today!
Over at Living With the Land, things didn’t look better. Typically, wait times here can be anything from a walk-on to about 15 minutes. Today, it was at half an hour!

While we’re in The Land Pavilion, let’s check out the Soarin’ situation, shall we? It was just as crowded as we expected, with an extended queue and a wait time around an hour.

Yep. Happy spring break season, everyone! If you’re headed to Disney World during this busy season, be sure to anticipate high crowds. You can avoid higher wait times by purchasing Genie+, which can (and does) often sell out. However, a lot of folks don’t realize that you can purchase Genie+ for the day as early as 12AM. We’d recommend doing it then during spring break season just to ensure that you don’t have to be in long lines throughout the day. However, Genie+ can be expensive. If you don’t want to spend your vacation budget on the skip-the-line service, you can always opt to visit the parks later in the day, when they typically have lower waits.
