If you LOVE hearing about short wait times, you’re probably going to hate this prediction.
Disney’s Holywood Studios at Disney World boasts a ton of E-ticket rides that usually have incredibly long wait times. Due to an upcoming change, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, a ride that usually has a moderate to low wait, could wind up joining that list very soon.
Star Tours — The Adventures Continue is getting new scenes based on characters and locations from Ashoka, Andor, and The Mandalorian beginning April 5th, 2024. The change is coinciding with the same Star Tours makeover at Disneyland Park and Disneyland Paris — and with that — we may not see short wait times for quite awhile.
The new adventures will join an existing catalog of randomized sequences to create over 250 different ride experiences that are sure to increase demand.
According to our friends at AllEars.net, the average wait time for Star Tours ranges between 30 and 60 minutes, but it also regularly drops below that window and can sometimes even become a walk-on attraction.
The attraction experience takes about five minutes (seven if you count the loading portion of the queue) and, so far, we don’t have any indication that will change. Nevertheless, it’s safe to assume wait times will increase with these changes. After all, there is historical precedent. In 2010, the original Star Tours attraction was refurbished to include new scenes and 3D, resulting in higher demand then, as well. While hype eventually cooled, we predict these new additions will drive in the masses — if even for a limited time.
It’s worth noting that as of this writing, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue still has Lightning Lane and Genie+ access for those looking to skip the general line.

For some reason, this ride kills my husband’s equilibrium, so we have to skip it. I suspect that it affects others as well, which might contribute to the current low wait times.
