Welp, it’s official. Spring Break crowds have arrived at Disney World.
Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios are all sold out for ticket holders and hotel guests who don’t already have park pass reservations for multiple days this week, and chances are that won’t be stopping anytime soon. But, what does that mean for Genie+ in Disney World on a crowded day? Let’s find out.
Wednesday, March 13th brought sold-out parks and more chaos to Disney World. Genie+, the paid, skip-the-line service, reached its record-high price yet again. Magic Kingdom and the multi-park options were $35 per person, EPCOT was $28, Hollywood Studios was $32, and Animal Kingdom was $25.
And, the multi-park Genie+ option sold out by 9:15AM — that’s pretty early! Not long after that, we noticed that quite a few Individual Lightning Lanes were snatched up as well. TRON Lightcycle / Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Rise of the Resistance, and Flight of Passage all sold out right after 9AM, and Cosmic Rewind sold out by 11AM.
If you’re heading to the parks for an upcoming trip, make sure you’re ready to snag Genie+ and those Individual Lightning Lanes.
At midnight, everyone can purchase Genie+ for their travel party. Then, at 7AM, Disney World hotel guests can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes and visitors with Genie+ can make their first Lightning Lane Selections. All other guests can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes at the time of park opening!
We could see this trend continue over the coming weeks as Spring Break travelers roll in. Stay tuned to DFB as we continue to bring you the latest news from Disney World and more!

If crowds continue to increase it would not surprise me to see the daily cost of Genie+ almost equal the cost of a park pass. Genie+ charges are pure profit.
