Disney World may be the Most Magical Place on Earth, but that doesn’t mean everything is always sunshine and rainbows.
Although, given that Disney World is in Florida, you do have to deal with a lot of sunshine. And, if you’re not prepared for it, it can really have a major impact on your trip. With Spring Break season officially here, the temperatures in Disney World are on the rise — and so are the crowds.
We’ve got to warn you about this weekend in Disney World! There are two unfortunate updates we need to share, you know, since we’re friends. We love being able to help you be prepared when you’re on your trip, so if you’ll be in the parks during St. Patrick’s Day weekend, you might want to read what we’ve got to say.
Okay, first things first — it’s going to be crowded in Disney World this weekend. Spring Break crowds have officially arrived and we saw that firsthand at the beginning of the week. Not only did park passes sell out on multiple days for Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT, but Genie+ also reached its record-high price yet again along with the multi-park option selling out a few times too.
And, we’ve seen Individual Lightning Lanes sell out within minutes of park opening. Let’s just say that if you’re heading to the parks this weekend, you should pack your patience.
At midnight, everyone can purchase Genie+ for their travel party. Then, at 7AM, Disney World hotel guests can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes and visitors with Genie+ can make their first Lightning Lane Selections. All other guests can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes at the time of park opening!
The other unfortunate thing about going to Disney World this weekend is that you’ll have to contend with some higher temperatures than what we’ve been seeing lately. Things are heating up! Click Orlando reports that highs will be within 1-3 degrees of the current records in Orlando. On Monday, we could see rain move into the area as well — something else to plan for if you’ll be in Disney World.
The Central Florida heat is no joke! Make sure you stay hydrated, wear (and reapply!) sunscreen, and get out of the sun when you can.
Stay tuned to DFB as we continue to keep an eye on the latest happenings in Disney World!
Well, I Definitely Wasn’t Expecting To See THAT in Disney World
