Did you know that Disney World is getting a NEW attraction?

No, we’re not talking about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, although we love keeping track of the ride’s construction. We’re actually talking about a new attraction coming to Magic Kingdom that will have you sniffing your way around Storybook Circus. Well, we’ve got a new update on that attraction!
Back in 2023, we told you about a new attraction coming to Fantasyland called Smellephants on Parade. Disney described this as an interactive experience that will be a “family-friendly search and sniff adventure in Storybook Circus. Okay…that sounds…interesting, right? The experience will be sponsored, appropriately enough, by Scentsy.

We’ve seen some clues that the new experience is coming soon. Signs around the Dumbo attraction have recently had “Presented by Scentsy” added to them. So, Storybook Circus is preparing for it.

We’ve also seen some bushes cleared around the area, which we think could be related to Smellephants on Parade.
More land cleared
Well, we have a new update. A permit was recently filed by Disney for the “installation of show sets.” We checked the address on the permit and it coincides with the area where Smellephants on Parade is going. So it looks like we might see some NEW parts of the experience arriving in Storybook Circus soon!

We hope to see some real movement on the project soon so we can get a better idea of what it’s all about (we’ll admit we’re confused about sniffing our way around Storybook Circus). We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates, though, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Why not a real attraction? This sounds very much like the Moana attraction that worked properly for how many months? Now half doesn’t work. This won’t do a thing to alleviate crowds. Sounds like a cheap way to add an ‘attraction’ without spending much money. Guests are not going to flock to WDW for this.

Well, it will take Disney at least 10 years at a minimum, to have any real progress showing on this project. Even longer, before anyone steps foot into the arena.
