It’s our favorite time of the year! That’s right, we find that we truly thrive in the spring — especially when we’re visiting EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival.
This year’s Flower and Garden Festival kicked off on February 28th and will run until May 27th. Right now, you can enjoy lots of spring-themed merchandise, food, and entertainment. This is one of our favorite EPCOT festivals, but your experience can be EVEN BETTER with a little extra planning. And believe us when we say that a little extra planning goes a long way. We’re going to assume that if you’re reading this, YOU want to plan your adventure through the festival. So, we’re here to teach you all the BEST things about the festival by showing you some of the WORST things we’ve seen folks do during their time there. Let’s go!
We’re not trying to throw shade on these folks by any means, because these folks are just past versions of us. Learn from us and DON’T do these things.
Forget to plan your buys if you’re there to eat.
Listen, that vacation food budget goes by FAST. The best way to manage it is to plan ahead — and that includes snacks and trips to the festival booths. Make a list in advance of everything you want to try at the Flower and Garden Festival, and consider buying just enough Disney Gift Cards to cover those few items. This way, everything will already be paid for and budgeted.
If you’re looking for some extra guidance as to what the BEST food items are, we compile a giant list of foods we love for each EPCOT festival — titled Best of the Fest. Check out our Flower and Garden Best of the Fest list below!
BEST OF THE FEST for the 2024 Flower and Garden Festival
Not bringing allergy medications.
The Flower and Garden Festival is home to… well… flowers. And gardens. And these can make ya feel real icky real fast! If you know that you’re especially prone to seasonal allergies, do yourself a favor and snag some meds before you venture into the parks. Take them BEFORE your visit with lots of water so that you can be proactive in avoiding a stuffy nose, sore throat, and those watery eyes.
If you forgot your allergy meds, no worries! The Disney World hotel gift shops typically have a ton of over the counter medications to choose from.
Why you’re getting sick on your Disney World trip
Not taking the time to SHOP.
The Flower and Garden Festival is home to all sorts of exclusive souvenirs that we actually LOVE. From tees to pins to bags to magnets, this festival has it all.
Take the time to browse through the merchandise options for an exclusive souvenir that you wont’ be able to snag after the festival is over. A lot of folks particularly love the Orange Bird Lug bag that has sold out numerous times both in the parks and online!
