We hope you’re ready, because it’s about to get real personal up in here.
It’s time to talk about poop problems. They happen to the best of us, but when you’re on vacation — especially in Disney World — a problem can turn into a disaster pretty quickly. We’ve gone to Disney World more times than we can count, and despite this being too much information to share publicly online, we know it’ll be helpful. So, this is how we avoid poop problems in Disney World.
It’s all about your diet
It’s important to try and stick to your normal diet when you’re in Disney World. Ultimately, it can be a recipe for disaster if you’re not used to eating whatever it is you choose to eat in the parks. If something upsets your stomach at home, chances are it’ll do the same in Disney World.
It can also be extremely easy to overeat — there are just so many delicious snacks and meals to try, but pacing yourself can keep you from feeling sick. Plus, feeling extremely full while walking around a theme park is just not fun.
Don’t forget meds
Whether we’re going to the parks for the day or for a longer vacation, we try to remember to pack gastrointestinal meds or supplements with us to help with any scenario.
Tossing some in your park bag can probably help save the day if you’re in a pinch! You can also find it at your hotel or even first aid in the parks! We suggest bringing meds for both scenarios — you know, whether you’re going too much or aren’t going enough.
Drink PLENTY of water
We always recommend staying on top of your water intake in the parks, but it can help in the bathroom department too! Dehydration can lead to stomach issues among a ton of other ailments you’d probably rather not get on vacation.
Bring your own water bottle to the parks and set alarms if you need reminders to chug! You can also snag free cups of water at quick-service restaurants and snack stands. We also like to bring some hydration multipliers with electrolytes in them like Liquid IV.
Limit other liquids
While you’re upping your water intake, make sure you’re keeping track of what else you’re drinking when you’re in Disney World! Coffee is a big one you might want to pay close attention to, as it can either help move things along or just make your problem worse.
The same can be said for overly sugary drinks or alcohol. Both can tend to add to dehydration, so if you’re drinking anything but water — make sure you also stop to have the occasional glass!
Bring Poo-pouri
Anyone with poop anxiety knows just how nerve-wracking it can be to stay in a hotel room with other people. Let’s be real, no matter how close you are, sometimes you just need a little privacy.
We always pack some room spray like Poo-pouri when we’re staying at a Disney World hotel, for our own peace of mind and courtesy to others!
Prep with some background noise
Along the same lines as the Poo-pouri, we tend to find that a little background noise can help speed up the process or just make it a little less awkward if you’re trying to go on the down low.
Turn the TV up or even bring a portable speaker with you to play some music out loud in the rest of the room while you’re doing your thang.
If ya gotta go, go!
Sometimes the moment strikes even when you’re not ready for it. But, we can tell you from experience that waiting to go until you’re back in your hotel room can lead to some serious stomach pains and potentially even worse.
When you’ve gotta go, go! In a bathroom, of course, but hey, we’re all human and we’ve all gotta poop. And, we’ve even scoped out the BEST bathrooms in all of Disney World.

I arrived to MK with a stomach ache and spent the majority of the day in the Pirates the bathroom cause thats where a poop attack happened. Since then I always bring along with me with flushable butt wipes since the constant wiping with the rough toilet paper can cause some pain to the tush! I always stick a travel sized pack or 2 in my backpack just in case! They’ve come in handy on several occasions!
