Calling all Disney World Annual Passholders! We have an important reminder that might affect your upcoming vacation!
Disney is currently remodeling some popular accommodations, and the newly updated rooms are going to open on July 1st, 2024. Lots of people are going to want to book these updated rooms, but Passholders get access to booking a full day EARLY, before reservations open to the general public. You’ll want to make sure you’re on time so you don’t miss your chance to reserve your spot!
Disney is remodeling the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, and the newly updated rooms look really fun.
The Cabins will now be a Disney Vacation Club Resort, but you don’t have to be a DVC member to book a spot. DVC members do get advanced booking — DVC booking opens today, March 19th — but Annual Passholders can book starting TOMORROW, March 20th! Bookings open to the general public on March 21st.
To make your reservation, call Disney at (407) 934-7639. Keep in mind that the phone line might be pretty busy if a lot of people are trying to make reservations at the same time, so you may have to wait on hold for a while.
Disney noted that just the first “loop” of cabins will be opening on July 1st, and more loops will open throughout the year. In total, over 350 cabins will be remodeled with updated features and new decor! The new cabins are “inspired by the resort’s idyllic setting, while also paying homage to the resort’s unique culture and heritage through the magic of Disney storytelling.”
Inside the cabins, there’s a full kitchen area, complete with a full-sized fridge, an oven and range, a microwave, and a dining room table.
The living area has a sofa and chair, with a TV on the wall. That sofa sits in front of a Murphy bed!
Here’s what the Murphy bed looks like when it’s pulled down.
Over in the bathroom, it looks like there’s a main bathroom area with a vanity and a separate water closet on the side.
The bedroom has a large bed and a bunk bed as well!
See those oars on the side of the bunk bed? Disney has said that their designs are inspired by Mickey and his pals! We can totally see the resemblance.
Don’t forget to set your alarms for tomorrow so that you can reserve your spot at these new cabins. Stay tuned to DFB for more updates on all the latest Disney news!

Are they remodeled? Or brand new?
DFB Gigi says
They’re brand new!
RandyC says
WDW must remodel or return and restore the Trails End restaurant to its former glory, along with the portrait of Fess Parker as the immortal Davy Crockett, for a stay at Ft Wilderness to be magical and complete, new cabins notwithstanding.
Randi Briggs says
They are really nice!
KC says
The inside looks to be nice but the outside doesn’t fit in with the campground at all. It looks like they would fit in better near the contemporary
SP says
This is so confusing because according to member services the booking window for the new Cabins doesn’t start for another month for DVC members (at least those of us with a home resort that is not WL).
