There are a lot of expensive restaurants in Disney World, but only ONE of them is the most expensive of them all.
That restaurant is Victoria & Albert’s, located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It has an AAA 5-diamond rating, has been recognized by the Michelin Guide, and is bucket list item for many Disney fans. We’ve had the opportunity to dine at this incredible spot before, and while it was amazing, there are a few things we wished we could have done differently.
Don’t Plan For Anything Else That Afternoon/Evening
This dinner is spread out over the course of several hours, and there’s no way to rush it (and you won’t want to). So when you’ve booked your reservation, cross off that entire evening of your trip — you’ll be doing nothing else.
Of course, you can if you’d like, but we recommend it be spontaneous and not planned, that way you don’t feel like you’re missing out on something else while you’re supposed to be enjoying the fanciest meal in all of Disney World.
You Do Not Have To Drink/Eat Every Bite of Each Dish
This meal is spread over 8-12 courses, and while they’re small bites, you do NOT want to fill up on the dishes that aren’t your favorite. Take a bite or two and be done with it.
The same thing for the optional wine pairing — you do not have to drink ALL of the wine presented to you. Even though you’re eating plenty with it, that’s a pretty surefire way to start not feeling great very quickly.
Don’t Be Shy!
Your Victoria & Albert’s team is there to support you in whatever way they can while you’re dining.
Whether that means they’re answering your questions about each dish, explaining how many courses you have left, or reminding you of what something was earlier — don’t be afraid to ask them questions. The elegant atmosphere can feel intimidating, we know, but they want you to feel comfortable!
Trust The Chefs
Similar to the point above, now is not the time to be picky. In fact, picky eaters likely won’t find the experience at Victoria & Albert’s pleasant, so it might be better for them to skip.
The chefs begin preparing the menu for your reservation about a week before you dine with them, and they’ve made sure everything is perfected. Trust your chefs — try something new, even if you think you won’t like it!
Do NOT Wear Shapewear
Listen, we know that shapewear is very flattering to the eye, but when dining at Victoria & Albert’s, just like any other large meal, it’s not the move.
Even though the courses are small, you’re eating 8-12 of them, and you will be VERY full by the time you’re done. If you’re wearing shapewear, you’ll be feeling uncomfortable very soon into the experience, and that’s not ideal.
Budget to Leave an Amazing Tip
When we say this team is fantastic, they are FANTASTIC. Gratuity is not included in the price of your experience, so you’ll want to ensure you budget one in.
And we don’t just mean a few dollars — we mean at LEAST 20% of what your reservation cost, and that’s the minimum. These guys and gals put so much work into the meal and experience they’ve prepared for you, and it’s important to thank them with more than words.
Be Sure You Can Really Afford The Meal
Now hold on a minute, we don’t mean this just in a dollar amount way, even though that is super important. While it’s imperative you make sure you can financially afford this meal, you also need to make sure you can afford it in a time aspect.
This meal is the furthest thing from cheap, and as we mentioned earlier, it takes a LONG time. If you can’t afford the price (plus tip) or the TIME this meal takes, then it’s not for you. This is an experience you really want to savor and take in every moment of, without the lingering anxiety about money or time in your head. If you’re going in, you need to be going ALL in.

This is some of the best dining in the country. We have eaten there twice and the service and food are divine. It is a no kids under 16 atmosphere which is nice. There was a harp player also.
Would love to return! The meal both times was around $700 for 2 people. Both times we had the wine flight – which is an add on and the 2nd time we had the caviar add-on which was amazing!! Don’t miss it if you can afford to go! It blows away Toppolinos and CA Grille. It’s way beyond that.

I love this restaurant. I have eaten there several times over the years from back when the entire wait staff had to have a name related to Victoria or Albert (like Vicky or Al). Over the years this has changed but neither the service nor the quality has wavered. This is a very special place that I almost revere. Where else contacts you ahead of time to learn about allergies or food dislikes? They use this info to generate a personalized menu.
I have to say that the warnings about the food portions and the wine pairing are very accurate. The first time I had the wine pairing I was driving so not a great after dinner time. The next wine pairing we took Disney transportation so neither of us had to worry about driving and that was the better decision.
