WAY before the Barbie movie, Barbie dolls and accessories were some of the most POPULAR toys on the market.

Of course, the movie helped boost sales for Barbie even more, and earlier this year, the most searched toy in Google history was Barbie. Barbie is literally everywhere, and the company that makes the dolls, Mattel, is capitalizing on that trend. Last year, Mattel announced a new theme park coming to Arizona that would feature Barbie and other Mattel properties. Well, Mattel just announced a SECOND theme park, and all we can say is, “C’mon Barbie, let’s go party!”
Mattel announced that it has plans for ANOTHER Mattel Adventure Park that will be located in Bonner Springs, Kansas. The new theme park is scheduled to open in 2026 and will include some of the same attractions planned for its Arizona theme park, including fully-themed Hot Wheels roller coasters like the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker and the Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer.

For more fun for the younger kids, there will be a Thomas & Friends: World of Sodor, which will have five family-friendly rides and an indoor play space.

There will also be a “larger-than-life” Barbie Beach House (!!!) that will feature an interactive shopping experience called the Barbie Dream Closet Experience. This experience will let you build a customized Barbie outfit with hologram technology. You’ll also find a Barbie-themed flying theater and The Barbie Rooftop restaurant and bar (we’re hoping for ALL the pink drinks, y’all).

If you love laser tag, there’s a He-Man vs. Skeletor Laser Tag arena that looks like Castle Grayskull. Say WHAT? The theme park also offers mini golf inspired by Magic 8-Ball, Pictionary, and other Mattel games. Plus, there’s a climbing UNO structure perfect for all ages. Sounds pretty amazing, right?

We’re excited to see more theme parks coming to the Midwest. Some former Disney Imagineers are also in the process of bringing a new theme park to Oklahoma. It’s a good time to be a theme park lover, eh?
