If you’re going to Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon, you need to start planning what you want to EAT while you’re there! There are lots of great fast food-style restaurants in this park, but right now we’re talking about those table service restaurants (so make sure you make reservations for these spots 60 days in advance!).
We’ve gone through the menus at every one of the table service restaurants in this park and picked out our team’s FAVORITE meal at each spot. These are the DON’T MISS eats at all six sit-down restaurants in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We’ve talked about our favorite meal at every Magic Kingdom restaurant, and now it’s time to head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Let’s go!
50’s Prime Time Café
50’s Prime Time Café serves up comfort food classics in a super fun atmosphere. This restaurant will take you back to Mom’s kitchen in the ’50s, complete with tableside TVs and retro decor. Your server will make sure you mind your manners throughout the meal!
Our favorite meal here has to start with the Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese appetizer, which is served with Raspberry Sauce, Grapes, and Apples for $10. We’ve LOVED this in the past — it’s decadent and rich, but the fruit served with it balances it out perfectly.
Our pick for an entrée is A Sampling of Mom’s Favorite Recipes for $28. This comes with Golden-fried Chicken, Fork Tender Pot Roast, and Traditional Meatloaf with all the fixin’s. There’s no better way to get a little taste of everything!
For dessert, you CANNOT skip the Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake!
This legit tastes like a PB&J sandwich, and it’s delicious. You can grab it for $9.

Hollywood & Vine Restaurant
Hollywood & Vine is a character dining restaurant and buffet. For breakfast, you’ll be joined by Playhouse Disney Characters like Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, and Doc McStuffins.
Lunch and Dinner is Minnie’s Seasonal Dine, and she’s joined by Mickey, Pluto, and Goofy. The theme changes seasonally — the year starts out with Silver Screen Dine, then Springtime Dine, followed by Summertime Dine, Halloween Dine, and Holiday Dine. It’s always the same characters, but their outfits change.
Since it’s a buffet, there’s just one set cost (rather than a price for each menu item). Breakfast is $47 per adult and $30 per kid. Lunch and dinner cost $63 per adult and $40 per kid.
Some of our favorite items on the buffet line include the Olive Oil Herbed-crushed Potatoes…
…the Herbed Focaccia…
…and the Peanut Butter Jelly Tarts.
If you go for breakfast, don’t miss out on the Chicken and Doughnuts, which have just recently been added to the menu.
To be completely honest, we don’t love the food at Hollywood & Vine. It’s fine, but when we go, we’re mostly just going for the characters. There are better eats in Hollywood Studios!

The Hollywood Brown Derby
The Hollywood Brown Derby is the signature restaurant in Hollywood Studios. It’s a replica of the famous Hollywood landmark restaurant, and the food and service here are surely just as good as the original. This restaurant is very popular — you’ll need to get your reservations as soon as they open, 60 days before your trip!
Our ideal meal here would have to start with the Escargot, which we know might be a controversial pick. It’s served with Roasted Garlic Béchamel, Crispy Prosciutto, and Puff Pastry. We know that snails aren’t everyone’s jam, but these are buttery and garlicky, with a great prosciutto flavor. You can grab them for $19.
You can’t eat here without getting the Famous Cobb Salad, which is made with Spit-roasted Turkey, Bacon, Egg, Tomatoes, Blue Cheese, Avocado, and Classic Dressing. You can get it like that for $25, with chicken for $32, or with shrimp for $35. It’s an iconic dish that’s just as tasty as it is traditional.
Finally, you have to end your meal with the Grapefruit Cake, which is a  Brown Derby Original. It’s a Vanilla Sponge Cake topped with Grapefruit Syrup and Cream Cheese Icing for $14.
And now you’ve got yourself a meal fit for the stars!

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
Mama Melrose’s serves Italian cuisine in a California-themed atmosphere. Confused? OK, let’s back up. The story is that Mama Melrose traveled to California to become an actor, but her Italian cooking was the real draw. The restaurant is now a combination of her two “heritages,” Italian and Californian.
We couldn’t decide between two dishes here, so we have both a plant-based option and a seafood option. The Polenta Cake, Mushroom, and Herbed Cauliflower entrée is Polenta layered with Sautéed Mushroom, Spinach, and Red Pepper with a Cashew-Cheese Sauce (Plant-based). You can grab it for $23. This was one of our favorite things at the restaurant the last time we visited!
The Shrimp Campanelle is another favorite. It’s Sautéed Shrimp and Campanelle Pasta tossed in a Four-Cheese Sauce with Cauliflower, Sun-dried Tomatoes, fresh Spinach, and Sweet Onions. You can grab it for $31, or substitute chicken (instead of shrimp) and it’s $28.
Round out your meal with Tiramisú for dessert!
This sweet treat is layers of Mascarpone and Espresso-soaked Lady Fingers topped with Cocoa Powder and Whipped Cream for $8.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Roundup Rodeo BBQ is the sit-down restaurant in Toy Story Land, and the theming here is SO fun. It’s a rootin’ tootin’ dining experience in a new play area: a RODEO arena, created by Andy himself! Andy has taken some of his favorite games and play sets to create the scene with both Western toys and other items (like blocks, lights, cardboard cut-outs, and more) coming together to make a bright and colorful mash-up atmosphere. In fact, you may even experience an “Andy’s Coming” moment!
The meal is all-you-can-eat (served family-style) and costs $45 per adult and $25 per child. Although the theming is super fun, note that this is NOT a character restaurant, so you won’t see Woody, Buzz, or any other Toy Story characters walking around inside.
One of our FAVORITE items served here is The Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits with Sweet Pepper Jelly! Seriously, we probably ate 10 of these the last time we visited.
Our favorite meat on the menu is the Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs…
…and we love the Slinky Doooooooooog’s Mac & Cheese side!
For dessert, our top pick is Bo’s Lemon and Blueberry Cheesecake.
If you haven’t dined here in a while, don’t forget that the menu changed recently, and some of the side options that were previously served have been removed from the menu. The Mean Ole Potato Salad, The Married Spuds (loaded potato barrels), and Force Field Fried Pickles have been cut.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
Sci-Fi Dine-In is another spot with excellent theming. (Are you starting to notice a trend? Hollywood Studios restaurants don’t miss when it comes to atmosphere!) You’ll dine inside a car that’s parked at a drive-in movie while you watch clips of old movies.
Our favorite appetizer here is the Fried Dill Pickles, which are served with your choice of Ranch or Horseradish Dipping Sauce. These cost $12 and are some of our favorite pickles on property.
We also really enjoyed the Sci-Fi Impossibleâ„¢ Nachos the last time we visited! These are Fried Tortilla Chips topped with Plant-based Black Bean Chili, Avocado Cream, Pico de Gallo, and Cilantro for $13, and the “meat” on them is tender, flavorful, and a bit spicy.
For our entrée, we’ll pick the Feature Film Burger every time (for $25). This burger actually changes periodically, with seasonal flavors swapping out every once in a while. The last time we had it, it was a signature beef blend with house-made seasoning on a brioche bun with shaved pastrami, lettuce, heirloom tomato, and a Carolina mustard sauce.
Make sure to ask your server about what the current burger is when you visit!

Thanks for the heads up on the Impossible Nachos. We’re eating at Sci-Fi in a few weeks and this looks like a great choice. For smaller appetites, it would seem to be a meal.
