It has been a HUGE week for Star Wars fans.
We finally got our FIRST trailer for an upcoming Star Wars series, The Acolyte, which is coming to Disney+ in June. We got new details about Disneyland’s Season of the Force (which sounds AMAZING). But that’s just the tip of the iceberg because there’s just so much Star Wars news to cover from the week. So let’s get to those Star Wars news drops you might have missed.
Recently, the Empire decided to take over the building that shares its name: the Empire State Building in New York City. The takeover included interactive photos, a display of new Star Wars merchandise, a life-size Darth Vader Funko POP!, a six-foot-tall LEGO figure of Darth Vader, and more. Most importantly, though, Darth Vader himself, a.k.a. actor Hayden Christensen, was on hand to assist in the takeover.
The building itself got a makeover worthy of the Dark Side. You can visit all the Star Wars displays at the Empire State Building through April 29th.

Disney also revealed a TON of new Star Wars merchandise coming soon both at the Disney parks and The Disney Store. There was even a Target-exclusive item in the merchandise reveal drop! However, what got us most excited is that we’ll soon be able to buy TruMoo Blue Milk in grocery stores!
For a limited time, starting on May 4th, a collectible Salvaged Stormtrooper Helmet Popcorn Bucket will be available at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland. Even better? You can get it with popcorn, sure, but you can also get it with French fries and Galma Garlic Puffs. FUN!
It’s hard to believe, but Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year. To celebrate, fans will be able to see the movie in theaters starting on May 3rd. Screenings of The Phantom Menace will also include an exclusive look at The Acolyte. On May 4th, Star Wars fans will be able to see all nine episodes of the Skywalker Saga in theaters for a premium marathon event — attendees will get a special limited-edition poster.
Finally, Star Wars Celebration Japan will take place on April 18th-20th in Chiba, Japan. Tickets will go on sale on May 2nd, 2024 at 4PM PST. Disney also revealed the key art for the big event.
