Some weeks, we get into a routine of visiting the same Disney World parks a few different times and doing the same activities over and over.

Other weeks, it seems like no two days are the same and our experiences are all over the place as well. Last week was one of those weeks, and this week was no different. We did SO MUCH STUFF at Disney World, and we’re here to share with you all some of the things we found. Let’s go to Disney World!

First, we’ll start in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

There’s a NEW (s)eating area! 

For months now, there have been construction walls up by Harambe Market. Well, those walls are now DOWN and a new seating area is OPEN! This spot is a great way to get a break from the hot Florida sun and enjoy some shade and a nice place to sit! The tables are large and can accommodate parties of up to 6 — so there is a TON of room for you and your family. There aren’t any ceiling fans or air conditioning here, so be prepared to still feel some heat if it’s hot outside, but the breeze should feel beautiful in here!

Time to take a seat!

The theming of this area is also beautiful! It fits in with the Africa area of the park, and these carvings are just one example of that! There is so much to take in while you’re sitting in this area, so be sure to take a look around while you’re enjoying your meal. This area also has its own dispensers so there is no need to wander throughout the market to grab the utensils that you may or may not have forgotten.

Napkins, anyone?

This is the perfect place to bring one of your snacks from Harambe Market or another nearby snack stand.

There’s a DOLE WHIP IN A BATH TUB! 

Typhoon Lagoon is one of Disney’s water parks that just reopened after a year-long refurbishment! We headed into the park to check out everything that’s new on the restaurant menus, and we stumbled upon a new Dole whip treat. The Dole Whip Bathtub Sundae is $15.99and made with Dole Whip Pineapple, Dole Whip Strawberry, and Green Matcha Tea Soft-Serve. Plus, you get to keep the bathtub!

We’ll be honest — our reporter isn’t big on matcha, so she wasn’t sure how she’d like this one, especially since those popping pearls don’t make it the prettiest treat, but surprisingly, she really enjoyed the matcha soft-serve! It’s super creamy and not powdery like other matcha treats can be.

The acidity in the matcha also really balances well with the sweetness of the strawberry and pineapple Dole Whip, so this was a big win in our book. It’s not necessarily groundbreaking, but it’s certainly a solid, shareable sweet treat. It’s also SUPER refreshing, which is perfect for a hot day at the water park.

Finally, let’s head over to EPCOT! 

One of our FAVORITE snacks is BACK! 

It’s no secret that Karamell-Kuche holds a special place in our hearts for some of the best treats in all of EPCOT (or even Disney World itself for that matter), so imagine our surprise when we saw an old favorite had returned to the menu recently! The Werther’s Original Caramel Chocolate Cookie Sandwich is made of two soft chocolate cookies sandwiched with Werther’s Original Caramel and salted caramel buttercream frosting for $7.29.

An oldie… but still a goodie?

At first glance, this looks to be the marshmallow and caramel whoopie pie, but how did it fare in taste? Well, as good as it looks! It’s almost like a big kid’s Oreo with creamy caramel. We totally would have welcomed even more of the caramel drizzle in the center with the salted caramel buttercream frosting, though. The salted caramelbuttercream frosting was enough to stand on its own and eat by itself, and it even held up well against the sunshine and the heat of the day for quite a while.

The chocolate cake pieces that make up the sandwich are dense, decadent, and chocolatey. It tasted just like two pieces of chocolate-flavored birthday cake with the same consistency. We’d recommend this to anyone who loves chocolate cake. You’ll love it, we promise!
