If you consider yourself a BIG Disney fan, then you’ve probably read all about this year’s D23 event.
Disney is making this year’s D23 Expo the biggest one yet, and we’re hoping that means lots of exciting announcements. We’ll get to hear from Disney executives like Josh D’Amaro (Chairman of Disney Experiences) and CEO Bob Iger, who will talk about recent changes and upcoming projects. Plus, this year’s event will be split into two separate locations: the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center. Because of this, ticket pricing looks a bit different this year, with some tickets as much as $999 per person. Is it worth the splurge? Let’s talk about it!
So, let’s talk about those two separate locations. The Anaheim Convention Center will have the show floor with activities and pavilions showcasing Disney-themed exhibits, including a new Walt Disney Archives exhibit called “A Great Big Beautiful Car Show.” The Convention Center will also have places to shop for limited-edition merchandise as well as shows, panels, and presentations.
Some of the BIGGEST presentations, though, will take place at the Honda Center. This stadium will host three marquee showcases (one each night): the Disney Entertainment Showcase on Friday (August 9th), the Disney Experiences Showcase on Saturday (August 10th), and the Disney Legends Ceremony on Sunday (August 11th). That Disney Experiences panel is where we expect to hear lots of updates about new things coming to Disney’s theme parks, so it’ll be a popular event!
With the D23 Preferred Ultimate Fan Pass 3-Day Ticket, you’ll get a floor seat at the Honda Center for the three days of the event, as well as 3-day access to all the experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center. This is the most exclusive ticket there is, and it’s $999. However, it’s only available to D23 Gold Members. The tickets will be available starting March 28th, 2024, at 12PM PST.
But…is it worth it? Well, the ticket allows you to experience EVERYTHING that we mentioned above at each of the locations. You’ll have full access on each day of the event, too, and not just one day. Plus, that will give you the best seating to the presentations at the Honda Center, which is where the BIGGEST announcements are expected to be made. If you’re hoping for a good view for photos or just want to be in the middle of all the action during the presentations, that’s when we’d say the Preferred Ultimate Fan Pass is worth it.
If you aren’t a Gold Member, it’s not too late! You can currently purchase a Gold or Gold Duo Membership ahead of the ticket sales.
