We enjoy trying all the new snacks in Disney World. There are so many to choose from, but our goal is to taste them all.
New snacks don’t get into Disney World without us knowing about it. It’s our purpose in life — eat all the Disney food we can find. And yet, one mysterious snack in Hollywood Studios has been like a ghost and never been around when we went to check on it. (It’s either that good that they run out, or it has invisibility properties.) But finally, we stepped into the Twilight Zone and tried — the Terror Cookie.
The Tower of Terror has its own cookie!! The Terror Cookie can be found at the Joffrey’s stand near the stomach-dropping ride for $6.38. We knew it was available, but it has clearly been in the Twilight Zone because no matter how often we checked for it, it was never to be found. A Cast Member confirmed that it is hardly ever put out (probably because they can’t get it out of the Twilight Zone).
Did you know about this TERRIFYING cookie in Disney World?!

We are pretty sure this cookie was ACTUALLY a ghost. Even while trying to take pictures we couldn’t get our camera to focus on it — SPOOKY! The Terror Cookie (aka the ghost cookie) has white chocolate chips, Oreo bits, and a dusting of cinnamon sugar on top. The cookie itself is a regular sugar cookie dyed purple — definitely deserving to be the official Tower of Terror cookie.
Even though it tried to act like a ghost, we did manage to try it, and y’all it was incredible. It’s a moist, soft cookie that wasn’t dense at all, which might be a bit surprising when you look at it. It was even more doughy and soft than a Gideon’s Bakehouse cookie. The cinnamon sugar flavor came out strongly. The white chocolate chips were soft, and while the Oreos weren’t super-flavorful, we loved them and would have missed them if they weren’t there.
The cookie might look scary, but the flavors were far from spooky. It was a delicious cookie that we would eat again. It didn’t come off like a candy bar, just a super soft, satisfying, and flavorful cookie. It was a perfect combination of everything.
It might be a ghost cookie, but if you find it near Tower of Terror, we recommend snatching it out of the Twilight Zone and giving it a try!
