Choosing what Disney hotel to stay at is a heavy decision.
But what if we told you that inside those hotels, not all rooms are made equally? It’s true — and we’re not just talking about rooms that are closer to the main hub at value hotels, or rooms that are closer to the main gates at park-walkable hotels. THESE are really the best of the best when it comes to Disney hotel rooms!
The Tower Funnel Suite on the Disney Wish
Oh, Disney hotel rooms extend beyond Disney World and Disneyland! Your Disney Cruise Line adventure can become out of this world if you have the $$$ to book the Tower Funnel Suite on the Disney Wish.
This whole suite looks like an apartment (a FANCY apartment), to put it lightly. You’ll have floor to ceiling windows in your living room, which has stairs to an upper level loft, and sleeps up to eight guests.
This truly is the definition of elegance on the high seas. Not only in the rooms, but even in the BATHROOMS!
If you’re able to book this suite, we’re immensely jealous and are begging you to let us come along.
The Room That’s Literally the Closest to the Skyliner
Being close to the Disney Skyliner in Disney World is a huge benefit to staying at a Skyliner resort. Those are:
- Art of Animation (Value Hotel)
- Pop Century (Value Hotel)
- Caribbean Beach Resort (Moderate Hotel)
- Riviera Resort (Deluxe Hotel)
We’ve done the math and can tell you which rooms are the CLOSEST to the Skyliner in how many steps it’ll take you!
- Art of Animation: Nemo Rooms 5514 and 5513, 4540, and 4539 are 127 steps from the Skyliner
- Pop Century: Rooms 5111, 5112, 4161, and 4162 are 130 steps from the Skyliner
- Caribbean Beach: Rooms 4104 and 4102 are 194 steps away from the Skyliner when you take the pathway, Rooms 4130 and 4131 are 130 steps away when you cut through the grass, and Rooms 5509 and 5510 are 164 steps away from the EPCOT side of the Riviera station
- Riviera Resort: Rooms 5509 and 5510 are 94 steps away from the entrance to the Disney’s Hollywood Studios side of the Skyliner station.
Yes, our reporter did count all of those steps OUT LOUD to make sure she got the right number — we are dedicated to our craft!
The Room That’s The Closest Walk to EPCOT
If you’re a big EPCOT fan, you’ll want the room that’s the absolute closest to the park gates, and you’ll find it at Disney’s Beach Club Resort!
That room, according to our steps is Room 1501, which is just 245 steps away from the EPCOT Skyliner station at International Gateway!

The Room That’s The Closest Walk to Magic Kingdom
Over at Bay Lake Tower at Disney Contemporary Resort is where you’ll find the hotel room closest to Magic Kingdom — yes, to the actual park, not just to the TTC!
You’ll want to stay in Rooms 7111, 7109, 7132, or 7134, which are 1,006 steps from Magic Kingdom’s gate. We would personally recommend Rooms 7132 or 7134 if you have the choice, because they’re also closer to the main Contemporary building and the elevators, plus have an exterior exit door nearby that can give you access to the bus station walking path.
Royal Asante Presidential Suite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
While there are multiple Presidential Suites located at different Disney World hotels, our ultimate favorite is the Royal Asante Presidential Suite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Not only does this room have the most beautiful view of the hotel and the savanna surrounding it, but it’s MASSIVE and the theming is absolutely immaculate. For animal lovers or just lovers of Animal Kingdom, this is the ultimate luxury experience.
The Princess Diana Suite at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Okay, this room isn’t REALLY called the Princess Diana Suite, but that’s what most people refer to it as because Princess Diana stayed here with Prince Harry and Prince William in 1993!
These three-bedroom villas cost thousands of dollars per night but can sleep up to twelve people. They’re beautiful, of course, but how cool would it be to say you stepped into the same room as royalty?
Cinderella Castle Suite
And of course, the best of the best that majority of us will never see in person, is the Cinderella Castle Suite located in Cinderella Castle.
This gorgeous suitebwas originally created to be Walt Disney’s apartment when he and his family visited Orlando. It was used for storage space and a workplace for Disney phone operators when Walt unfortunately passed away before the park was completed.
It was never intended to be seen by the public, but now, if you’ve won a contest/auction or are invited by Disney to stay in the suite, you’ll be able to see it with your own eyes.
Here are the TWO ways you could stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite!
Don’t get us wrong, we love (almost) all Disney hotel rooms, but these really are something else, and we can only dream we’ll be able to step foot in them someday. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news!
