Being a Disney World Annual Passholder comes with plenty of perks.

We’re talking about things like access to the Disney World parks, free parking, hotel and ticket discounts, food discounts, merch discounts, and so much more. But, every once in a while, Disney rolls out the red carpet for passholders with even more exclusive benefits — and we just found out more details about one in particular!
V.I.Passholder Days is a limited-time event that brings additional discounts to Passholders, along with a new Passholder Magnet, a special NEW lounge in Disney World, Passholder-exclusive snacks, special photo ops, and more. Last year’s lounge was a special section inside the Land Pavilion, but Disney just revealed that for 2024, the lounge will be inside Restaurant Marrakesh!

Restaurant Marrakesh is located in the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT, and before the 2020 park closures was a table-service spot that dished up Moroccan and other Northern African-inspired eats along with belly dancers and other entertainment, and we’ve been bummed to see it sit empty. But, now it looks like Disney will be reopening it as an exclusive lounge!

We’ve recently spotted some construction walls up in the Morocco Pavilion, though we’re not certain this new lounge is the reason for that — but it’s possible! It seems like quite a bit of work just to spruce up a lounge, though. Either way, we’ll be checking out the new Annual Passholder Lounge at Restaurant Marrakesh as soon as it opens, so keep checking back for more.

This year’s event will run from May 1st through June 26th, so if you don’t already have your next trip booked — here’s that excuse you’ve been looking for!

We loved Restaurant Marrakesh. There was this awesome appetizer of litttle scoops of a dip made with hummus and goat cheese and drizzled with balsamic vinegar, and it had these pita chips standing up in it. It would come and go from the menu, but it was called ‘Moroccan Sails’ or something like that. We also very much enjoyed the music and dancing, moreso when it was about seeing skillful performers than day care playtime, but we were so sorry that it didn’t reopen in any event. It is beautiful inside, and I hope that someday it reopens as a restaurant – even though we are annual passholders, I’d rather have the restaurant and performers back. It looks like that won’t be happening any time soon.
Why do you always run these special Annual Pass Holder Lounges in the late Spring and early Summer. Why can’t you have a location where people get an annual magnet all year around instead just at certain times. We have missed so many chances to get ours because of the dates when they are offered.
I can’t believe they still haven’t haven’t re opened this restaurant. What is the issue ??? It’s been years and still so many things that were taken away during covid have not returned. Pass holders should have an indoor space to relax year round.
