We just learned important information regarding the grand opening of Tokyo DisneySea’s new expansion, Fantasy Springs!
Tokyo Disney Resort recently announced how guests will be able to enter Fantasy Springs when it opens later this year. You won’t be able to just walk into this new expansion, so read on to find out how to experience Fantasy Springs!
Fantasy Springs will be Tokyo DisneySea’s eighth port, and it’s going to open on June 6th, 2024. Fantasy Springs will include three new lands and a new hotel. The three lands include Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Neverland. The new hotel will be a park-integrated hotel called Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel.
Tokyo Disney Resort just released a guide to experiencing this new expansion. Unfortunately, there will be no walking in as you please. It will require a bit of pre-planning to experience the new expansion, but we have you covered on what to expect!
Guests will need to reserve a time slot or pass at an eligible attraction in order to enter Fantasy Springs. There are three options to be able to enter: getting a Standby Pass for an eligible attraction, purchasing Disney Premier Access for an eligible attraction, or staying at a select hotel and purchasing a “1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic” ticket.
To get a Standby Pass or Disney Premier Access pass, you will need a park ticket for Tokyo DisneySea. Then you will reserve your time for the attraction on the Tokyo Disney Resort app. The “1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic” includes a ticket to Tokyo DisneySea with the ability to experience Fantasy Springs at any point in the day.
Standby Pass and Disney Premier Access
The Standby Pass is available free of charge. With this option, you will make a reservation that allows you to enter Fantasy Springs and line up at an eligible attraction at a specific time. Or you can opt for the Disney Premier Access, which is an additional fee but allows you to experience eligible attractions with a reduced wait time.
You WILL still need to select a time to experience the attractions, but you will be able to use the Priority Access Entrance for the attraction (except for Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies). Re-entry is not permitted with either of these options, so once you leave the land, you will not be able to go back. The eligible attractions in Fantasy Springs are:
- Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey
- Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival
- Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure
- Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies – this attraction may only be experienced by guests with a Standby Pass
So, to sum up, you first must purchase a ticket, then obtain either a standby pass (free) or a premiere access pass (for a fee), then enter the park by presenting your ticket and pass at the entrance!
“1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic”
The “1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic” is available for guests staying at Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel or guests who have booked an eligible Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package plan. This ticket allows you to enter Fantasy Springs anytime during the operating hours.
You will NOT have to book a specific time, and you will be able to experience the attractions with a reduced wait. While in Fantasy Springs, you will be able to use the Priority Access Entrance when experiencing attractions, with the exception of Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. There is also no limit to the number of times guests can experience attractions.
Once in Fantasy Springs, you will be able to utilize the Tokyo Disney Resort app to mobile order at eligible restaurants. You will place an order on the app for a time frame in which you are eligible to be in Fantasy Springs. The restaurants that will be eligible include:
We hope this helped to clear up the process for experiencing Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea! There are multiple options, but they all require a bit of advanced planning, so be ready. I’m so excited! I could pee in my pants! My grandson (21) and I are going June 16. We bought the 3 day package. It is so interesting that we had to select our restaurants, souvenirs, etc. on-line when we booked. We are staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. We plan to do everything we possibly can at the new Fantasy Springs and eat or get a snack in all the restaurants you’ve mentioned. Yes, several people have already asked me to bring home a Peter Pan Lantern – I think I need to take an extra suitcase. Thanks for all your great information. I even booked a reservation for OH MY CAFE after I saw your item about it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
