We have a lot of favorite Disney World snacks, and yes, you’ve probably heard us talk all about them.
We LOVE to share our passion for all kinds of Dole Whip treats (sorry, not sorry). We’ll talk your ear off about Corn Dog Nuggets and Plastic Cheese. We’ll forever sing the praises of the Citrus Swirl in Magic Kingdom — although it’s the one snack that tends to give us the most trouble when we’re in the park. Well, we’ve got an update on that…
The Citrus Swirl, which can be found at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland, is made with frozen orange juice swirled with vanilla soft serve and is inspired by the iconic Orange Bird character. It’s got a sweet Creamsicle flavor going on, which makes it a very popular snack. Well, if you were looking forward to ordering the Citrus Swirl from Sunshine Tree Terrace, we’ve got some bad news: it’s no longer on the menu.
Before you start to panic, though, you need to know that this happens fairly often. The Citrus Swirl will disappear from the menu for a bit, and then it will come back. We’ve been here before.
Although a Cast Member told us it is gone gone (as in, not a temporary removal), we’re still not ready to call it a permanent menu change. It’s super popular, and we’re hoping it has not been shucked from the menu forever.
We’ll be sure to keep our eyes out for the Citrus Swirl on the mobile order menu, and we’ll let you know if we spot any changes!
For now, if you were looking forward to trying it out during your next Disney World trip and find that it’s still not available, the Orange Cream Soft-serve Cup, which is made with DOLE Whip Orange and Vanilla Swirl at Sunshine Tree Terrace, has a very similar Creamsicle vibe and flavor, and that’s still available. (It’s not the SAME. It doesn’t have that fabulous super-tart frozen orange juice that we love love love…but beggars can’t be choosers.) Stay tuned to DFB for more!

Joni says
I wish they would leave the swirl
Alone. There had to be 10 or more whip flavors all over the “world”. It we only have one Swirl and one place to get it.
Just let it be. Leave it alone.
Give us back our original swirls!!!!

As long as Tropical Serenade stay forever!
Eric says
I would take a citrus swirl over any flavor of dole whip every single time. They did this 10 or 12 years ago, took the citrus swirl and swapped it for the baby aspirin flavored dole whip and that actually started my on again off again anger at Disney. Leave the swirl alone!
Johnny says
Hate the Citrus Swirl.
Love the Dole Whip Orange and Vanilla Swirl. It’s the ultimate “Creamsicle” flavor!
Cindy says
I had the mango Dole Whip at Tropical Hideaway, Disneyland. It’s great, but I will take the citrus swirl anyday over all else!
MAT says
Bring back the swirl!!
Wendy L Johnson says
I had it in March and went back May 18 and it’s gone. The boy behind the counter had know idea what I was talking about! That Orange Cream is not the same!
