We’re lucky to have a handful of former Disney World Cast Members on our team here at DFB, which means we get to know some behind-the-scenes info about certain attractions, restaurants, and more. We’ve brought you Magic Kingdom secrets and the rule every Cast Member is begging you not to break, but now we’re spilling the secrets on Cast Members themselves!

We bet you never knew these secrets about Disney World Cast Members! Well, unless you were a Cast Member yourself, maybe.

They go through a ton of brand training.

Disney World is known for being the Most Magical Place on Earth, and if you ask us, it’s the Cast Members that make all the magic! But, they don’t get plucked off the streets knowing how to handle things the way Disney wants them to, which is why Cast Members go through a ton of brand training before being unleashed in the wild.

We love Cast Member Willie!

Not only do they go through brand training, but Cast Members are known for their customer service for a reason. Even Cast Members who don’t directly deal with people in the parks every day still have to go through customer service training so they can spread a little pixie dust when they need to.

There’s an exclusive Cast Member store.

Cast Connections is a store ONLY available to Disney Cast Members. Here, they sell Disney merchandise and other fun things at a discounted price. Some people have called it the Disney World equivalent of Costco. Cast Members can even bring guests!

At Cast Connections, you can find tons of apparel of all sizes, merchandise from the previous season, and occasionally, merchandise that’s currently sold in the parks. There’s also frozen Disney World FOOD you can buy, like chicken nuggets and french fries!

They have access to unlimited stickers.

Have you ever been given a Mickey Mouse sticker by a Cast Member at the parks or hotels? Or maybe a Cast Member has passed one out to your kiddos for being on their best behavior. Believe it or not, Cast Members have a nearly unlimited supply of stickers backstage to pass out as they see fit.

They’re just little paper stickers like you might have gotten at the doctor back in the day, but to a kid (okay, and even us adults!) it can really be a magical moment.

They get their own complex transportation system.

There are SO MANY Disney World Cast Members. We’re talking thousands upon thousands of them — but you hardly ever see them going from place to place. And, that’s exactly how Disney wants it. There’s an entire transportation system for just Cast Members!

We love Cast Members!

It makes sense when you think about it, especially for Disney College Program participants who might not have cars but still need to get from their dorms to their respective jobs. Plus, Disney is able to move multiple Cast Members around at once instead of having multiple cars clogging up traffic!

They battle it out for parking spots just like us.

For those Cast Members who do drive to their jobs — their parking can be limited. Plus, who wants to walk super far away back to their car at the end of a long work day? You probably wouldn’t, and Cast Members don’t either! Because of this, they often battle it out for primo parking just like the rest of us.

Yee-haw!
