Are you ready for the scary, spooky, and all things Halloween?!
We are too. We know that summer is basically here, but our minds are solely on the coming Halloween season at Disney World! To that point, it’s never too early to start planning for a certain Halloween Party, but we want to go over everything we know about the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World before you book your tickets!
First things first, before you go book your travel plans, you need to know that this year, the event will take place on select nights from August 9th through October 31st, 2024.
Speaking of the dates, there are going to be a lot of them to choose from in 2024:
- August 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30
- September 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
- October 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31
The thing you have to keep in mind is that the tickets aren’t just one set price. Last year, the ticket prices ranged from $109 to $199, depending on the date. This year, ticket prices will range from $119 to $199, so there was a bit of a price increase.
While there is a special air of excitement for the first night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you may want to consider skipping in favor of a later date. Why? In our experience, the first night is usually VERY crowded and expensive. If you’re thinking of the crowds for rope-drop but for the entire party, you’ve got the right idea! In all likelihood, the first party of 2024 will sell out.Â
Another thing you have to consider with the first night is that you might notice some small kinks and issues with it. Cast Members might still be working out the bugs before until they’ve gotten a few parties under their belts.
We’re not saying that the event will be riddled with errors, just that should you go to the first night, you should prepare yourself to be ok if things are slightly off the mark. Enough about that. Let’s talk about the things you should expect to see and experience at the party.
As you know, it is a separately ticketed event that’s perfect for the whole family in Magic Kingdom. The event includes trick-or-treating, special entertainment, access to select Magic Kingdom attractions, the opportunity to meet Disney characters, specialty food items, and lots of Halloween fun.
Trick-or-Treat Stations
Yes, you read it right. At Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you get to go trick-or-treating throughout the park.
There are designated treat locations for you to stop at and get your fill of candy. Disney World even offers allergy-friendly treats that you can collect by picking up teal tokens at trick-or-treat stations.
Special Entertainment
The party also includes special entertainment. Last year, the event included Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks display, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular!, and more.
The short of it is that there’s going to be plenty to keep you entertained throughout the event!
Ride Select Attractions in Magic Kingdom
In addition to all the special entertainment, you will also be able to enjoy select attractions in Magic Kingdom.
What’s even better about that is that wait times are usually much less than during normal operating hours, so you can get a lot of rides in. As we said, not every attraction will be open during the Halloween party, but you’ll still have plenty to choose from. Also, some of the attractions have had special overlays and even live actors placed on some of the rides.
Meet and Greet with Characters
Now, this is a staple of the party. You can meet and greet with a number of your favorite Disney characters!
They’ve often got special Halloween costumes and (we should whisper this) you can also usually meet characters that don’t normally get to meet in the parks during normal hours.
Halloween Themed Eats and Merchandise
The event also brings a selection of Halloween-themed eats. These treats will cost extra, but you can usually find some really fun and tasty treats!
Also, there’s a lot of event-exclusive Halloween merchandise like shirts, mugs, hats, and more.
As we said, you’re going to find a fantastic selection of party-exclusive spirit jerseys, shirts, hats, mugs, tumblers, ornaments, pins, and more.
We are expecting Disney World to make more announcements soon. Until then, we’re keeping our eyes peeled for more news regarding the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about the event!
