We have been keeping up with all the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction and announcements.
We go to Disney World every day, and it’s pretty hard to miss this new ride. So when we notice some changes, we’re ready to tell you about them! We know that the ride in Magic Kingdom will be opening sometime this summer (the Disneyland version will open “later in 2024”), but we don’t know exactly what day. Every time we see more details added, more scaffolding down, or the ride being tested, we know that it can’t be too far away. Now, we have a few new updates that we’ve noticed in the past few days!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will pick up its story after the main storyline from the film, The Princess and the Frog. Tiana has been working in her restaurant, Tiana’s Palace, and is getting ready to throw a Mardi Gras party! She’s cooking while others are getting set up or practicing music. The story begins before you even get onto the ride — in the queue. And recently a banner had gone up inviting us all to come celebrate!
This banner over at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is now MUCH more clear! 💚 It serves as a welcome to all guests at the home of Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen for a celebration of family and friends of New Orleans! pic.twitter.com/LTQI4sEdud

Now, this sign had gone up a little while ago, but it has been covered up with scaffolding making it really hard to get a good look at it. But the scaffolding has all been removed, so we can see it clear as day welcoming us to a celebration of New Orleans!
More of the story goes that Tiana purchased a salt dome for the company to build her land (hence the mountain). The idea is that Tabasco Sauce was founded in an area in Louisiana where there is a large salt dome — Avery Island. So to keep up this story for the ride, Disney has added some new hot sauce signs!
We also recently saw that this cute little white building has been completed! Previously, the building had exposed insulation on it, but it is looking very complete now. There are also some very pretty light fixtures that have gone up around the ride and queue.
Every day, we’re getting closer and closer to summer and the opening of this new princess ride. It will be a fun adventure to finally ride it for the first time! We’re keeping our eyes peeled for new updates from Disney, but in the meantime, keep following DFB!

I’m really excited for this ride to open! Only bad part is that we won’t be back until next April 2025. Which means I’m going to have close to a year to try and avoid any ride videos! I’d really like my first look of the ride to be in person.
Will I actually make it that long without peeking?? Probably not lol! But I’m going to try…

I can’t wait. It looks fantastic
