Are you about to head to Disneyland?
If so, in case you haven’t already heard, you’ll need to know that an entire land at Disneyland is now closed to make way for some new additions!
Critter Country is closed as of May 1st! This closure is to allow Disney to make way for two new shops — Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club to come to Critter Country. Here’s a look at the concept art of the new shops released by Walt Disney Imagineers:
Ray’s Berets will replace The Briar Patch and will offer headwear, apparel, accessories, toys, and more.
Louis’ Critter Club will occupy the left-hand side of Pooh Corner and will offer even more apparel, accessories, home décor, and more Princess Tiana-themed merchandise.
Fans of Pooh Corner: Don’t worry because the middle and treats side of the shop will remain as is and continue to offer merchandise from Hundred Acre Wood along with its famous sweets!
Additionally, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh will be closed during the refurb, but the Hungry Bear Restaurant will remain open.
Outside of all that, no timeline has been announced for the reopening date of this area. We’ll update you when we know more, so keep following us here at DFB!
