It’s time for another big Disney anniversary!
We’ve already celebrated Disney World’s 50th Anniversary as well as The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary, but now it’s time to honor one of the theme parks! May 1st, 2024 marks the 35th Anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the park is celebrating with some exclusive merchandise.
To check out the special 35th Anniversary collection, we had to join a limited-time virtual queue. Getting a boarding group through the virtual queue allowed access to Stage 1 Company Store, where the new collection has dropped.
To access the virtual queue, we needed to go to the virtual queues section of the My Disney Experience app homepage. From there, we selected Disney’s Hollywood Studios to find the correct queue. The virtual queue opened at 7AM, and we selected the option for the “Disney’s Hollywood Studios 35th Anniversary event.
Once in the queue, it functioned the same way a virtual queue for an attraction like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind does. When our time came, we were alerted via push notification and had 30 minutes to get to Studio 1, check in, and join a physical queue line to enter the store.
When our boarding group was called and we arrived at the shop, we found a treasure trove of 35th Anniversary merchandise for the park. There were t-shirts in various colors and styles including light blue…
…navy…
…and white and blue sleeved-baseball quarter-sleeve…
… which pairs well with this baseball cap.
There were also two specialty pins, both featuring looks tied to the park. First up is the head cheese in his classic director gear…
… and the second is Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey, as he’s appeared in numerous shows and meet and greets at the park over the years including Fantasmic.
The store also featured accessories including water bottles…
…and a special edition Loungefly backpack.
Finally, there were collectibles including a special Pandora bracelet charm…
… and a really cool 35th Anniversary Mickey statue!

I’m not mad about the queue actually. This limits the crazy chaos of 1000 people in the store. Hopefully they limit the number of items you can buy also. I can’t stand resellers posting new merch from within the store

What annoys me about these virtual queues for merch, rundisney, and other online events is that you are placed randomly into the queue no matter how fast your fingers are.
