Halloween fans, today is a GOOD day!
The spooky season is one of our favorites in Disney World! We love all the Halloween decorations, the special snacks, and, of course, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. If you’ve been thinking of attending a Halloween Party this year, we have great news — the first dates have just been released!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary is a family-friendly event that takes place on select nights throughout the season. Guests who purchase tickets for this after-hours event can expect some exclusive treats, shorter attraction waits, special Halloween entertainment, and more!
In honor of Disney’s “Halfway to Halloween” event (can you believe we’re already HALFWAY to fall?!), Disney just released the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party DATES! That’s right, people — we have a full list of all the dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year.
The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will kick off on Friday, August 9th, 2024. Additional parties will take place on select nights through October 31st, 2024. Last year, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ran from August 11th through November 1st, with 38 dates to choose from.
Here are the 2024 dates:
- August – 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 23rd, 27th, and 30th
- September – 2nd, 6th, 8th, 10th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 26th, 27th, and 29th
- October – 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 27th, 29th, and 31st
Disney announced that tickets for the event will go on sale SOON, on May 15th. Some people will be able to buy tickets EARLY — guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can purchase these special event tickets beginning May 8th, 2024!
If this will be your first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, or if you need a quick refresher, you can take a look at some of the highlights below!
So far, Disney has confirmed that some of the popular entertainment from years past will be returning, and we’ve even seen a casting call for some familiar Halloween roles!
Now, as we mentioned, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a specially ticketed event, so you must have a separate Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket in order to get into the Magic Kingdom. A ticket to this after-hours party gets you access to Magic Kingdom a few hours before the party begins (at 4PM), but if you plan to be in Magic Kingdom BEFORE 4PM, you will need a Magic Kingdom park ticket and a party ticket.
The party will take place on select nights, starting at 7PM and running until midnight, with party guests able to enter the park as early as 4PM. Keep in mind that the party does not happen every night—only select nights between August 9th and October 31st.
We’re can’t wait to hear more about this year’s event! We are already planning our Halloween costumes — anyone else?! This is historically a super popular event, so we recommend purchasing your tickets ASAP, especially if you want to go in late October or close to Halloween (the dates closest to Halloween tend to sell out first).

Mike says
Alright Disney, now do MVMCP! We’re probably crazy for doing a Christmas week trip, but, regardless of the crowds, I still can’t wait. Hoping we can attend the last MVMCP of 2024!
Samantha Chapman says
WAIT Who can buy tickets on wednesday?
Todd says
Halloween should be limited to the 30-45 days prior. Halloween in August when it’s miserably hot and humid certainly doesn’t feel like Halloween.
DFB Gigi says
Hi Samantha! Guests who already have a Walt Disney World reservation can buy tickets tomorrow. 🙂 Tickets are on sale to the general public on May 15th.
Samantha Chapman says
Thanks!
Now the question for me is, what park do I go to the day after when we won’t want to ropedrop :think emoji:
DFB Gigi says
Hi Samantha! The consensus here at DFB is that EPCOT would be the best choice (for us) because it allows you to sleep in (with a later rope drop than other parks usually) and there’s less rides to tackle so you can still accomplish everything you want to do with a later start.
Laurel Lane says
Agree with Todd. August is much too early to be celebrating Halloween. It’s still summer and some of us would still like to enjoy the parks in their regular season and not have to look at fall decorations. These August parties take away the night from regular summer guests. Let’s start celebrating the holidays in the seasons they were meant to be celebrated in. If you can’t make it at that time, then it’s something for you to look forward to in the future when you can.
