We’ve got some big news about one of the most popular events in Disney World: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
Disney has announced the dates, prices, and new offerings for the 2024 event, but now we have even MORE information. We found a full list of all the rides that will be open during the party! The list is hiding one very exciting update about a NEW ride opening at Magic Kingdom soon!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is an extra-ticked event in Magic Kingdom. The party boasts a popular Halloween parade (led by the Headless Horseman), trick-or-treating throughout the park, exclusive snacks, a not-so-spooky fireworks show, a Hocus Pocus-themed stage show, and more.
It’ll take place in 2024 on the following dates:
- August – 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 23rd, 27th, and 30th
- September – 2nd, 6th, 8th, 10th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 26th, 27th, and 29th
- October – 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 27th, 29th, and 31st
One of the best things about this party is that the capacity in the park is reduced, which means fewer people and thus shorter lines for rides! Now, not all the rides are open during the party, but a good amount of them are.
We have a full list of all the rides that will be open at the 2024 party, but first, we have to highlight one very exciting update: Magic Kingdom’s newest ride — Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — will be open during the 2024 Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
UPDATE: Disney has now removed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure from the “open rides” list on the My Disney Experience app. This does not necessarily mean that the ride will not be open during the event; it just means that Disney is not yet ready to commit to it being open at this time.
In fact, we’re still pretty sure that it will be open. Here’s why: 1) Disney originally had it listed. Usually if that happens, it was going to be there eventually and someone just jumped the gun. 2) MNSSHP runs through October 31st. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is supposed to open “this summer,” so it will definitely be open before MNSSHP finishes its run in 2024. 3) Splash Mountain was always open during MNSSHP, so reason would dictate that Tiana’s would follow suit. 4) The Tiana’s Bayou Adventure media event is scheduled for mid-June. We’ve never — in our 15 years of doing this — seen a ride not open until two months after the media event. Usually it opens within a week after the media event. So, again, reason would dictate that the ride will, indeed, be open in time for the first MNSSHP date.
We will continue to keep an eye on Disney’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party ride lists and will let you know immediately when/if Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is added to the confirmed schedule.
We can’t wait to go down the bayou with Tiana and her friends. But that’s not the only ride you can visit during the Halloween event. Here’s a full list of rides that will be open during the party:
Adventureland
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Jungle Cruise
- The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
- Swiss Family Treehouse
Frontierland
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (UPDATE: Disney had listed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on the My Disney Experience app as one of the rides that will be open during the party, but they have since removed the ride from that list. We’re watching for an update on the situation to find out whether the new ride will be open for the event.)
Liberty Square
- Haunted Mansion
Fantasyland
- Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
- “it’s a small world”
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
