You have less than three weeks to visit an EPCOT exhibit before it temporarily closes!
Something new is coming to the American Adventure Pavilion in EPCOT, which means that part of the EPCOT World Showcase pavilion will soon be closing.
The American Heritage Gallery inside of the American Adventure Pavilion will be welcoming a new collection. According to the times listed on Disney World’s website, the American Heritage Gallery will be closed for refurbishment beginning May 28th, 2024.
Disney World has previously announced that a new exhibit will be coming to the American Heritage Gallery. The exhibit will feature 60 oil paintings by President George W. Bush. These paintings feature service members and veterans who have served since 9/11 that the President has gotten to know personally. The collection will be called Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors.
Based on the operating times, it looks like the American Heritage Gallery will be closed from May 28th through June 6th. The website currently lists operating hours beginning on June 7th, although the exhibit is planned to have its grand opening on June 9th. Visitors may be able to view the paintings early, beginning June 7th (ahead of the grand opening), but we will keep an eye on the times as we get closer and see what announcements Disney World makes.

I have enjoyed many of the exhibits presented at the American Adventure. I will admit I will miss the current exhibit Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art. I could stand for hours just admiring the beadwork and beauty of the artifacts. They do a lovely job presenting these exhibits that are educational and just great to view. This will be a great addition as I will get to see the paintings my neighbor up here in Maine in the summer paints.
I’m looking forward to seeing this exhibit when it opens. I always try to see whatever exhibit is in that gallery.
