D23 has just announced the ULTIMATE way to celebrate Tiana’s Bayou Adventure coming to Disney World!

Lots of previews have been announced for Disney World’s newest attraction recently (including previews for Disney World Annual Passholders, DVC Members, and Cast Members), and we can’t wait for our chance to take a ride or two before it officially opens. If you’re a D23 Gold Member, you can preview the ride early at an exclusive event!
Disney’s ready to bring us along for a swinging celebration they’re hosting in honor of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening soon! Though the ride doesn’t open until June 28th, D23 Gold Members can get a sneak peek a little bit early.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom
D23 announced a special event in Disney World for Gold Members, where “D23 Gold Members will have the opportunity to be among the first to enjoy the new Walt Disney World attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, at Magic Kingdom Park.” The announcement said, “D23 Gold Members will be able to ride the attraction again and again, then take some time to enjoy the enchanting evening ambiance of the bayou with live jazz performances and tasty treats available during this celebration of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.”
This D23 Gold Member Celebration takes place on June 22nd in Magic Kingdom. Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 16th, at 10AM PT/1PM EST. Tickets cost $60 per Gold Member with a $7 processing fee. This event has restricted capacity, so there’s going to be a virtual queue for the ticket sale. It’s NOT guaranteed that all D23 Gold Members that join the queue will get tickets. Make sure you’re logged into D23.com early and join the queue as soon as it goes live!
The event will give D23 Gold Members and their guests access to Magic Kingdom, where they can ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, mingle, snack on refreshments, and listen to live jazz performances. Attendees will get a D23-exclusive Tiana’s Bayou Adventure commemorative pin as well.
Tiana’s testing
There’s also going to be a 15th anniversary screening of The Princess and the Frog at the AMC Dine-In Theater in Disney Springs on June 22nd, where D23 Members will be served a Mardi Gras-inspired cookie from Gideon’s Bakehouse. (Note that this event and the ride preview are two different, separately ticketed events.)

Here are the details for the movie screening:
- Pricing: Gold Members — $23 + $5 Processing Fee per ticket; General Members — $33 + $5 Processing Fee per ticket
- Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 16th, at 11AM PT/1PM ET.
- Screenings are available on June 22nd at 10:30AM EST and 11:15AM EST.
- The moving screening experience does NOT include access to the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride. These two events are ticketed separately.
- Ticket includes one Mardi Gras cookie from Gideon’s, one complimentary beverage at the theater, and one Princess and the Frog glow-in-the-dark pin
- D23 Members can reserve a ticket for themselves and up to three guests.

This is exciting! I recently became a D23 Gold Member but I don’t know if I am in the window to take advantage of this opportunity. Do you know if an email was already sent out to D23 Gold members with a link for Thursday’s ticket sale?
Hi! You can actually just go to D23.com and make sure you’re logged in early to join the queue as soon as it goes live. I’d set an alarm on my phone to remind me to be logged in and ready.
I know the ticket purchase hasn’t officially started yet and when you click on the link it sends you to a page that says “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom onsale has not yet begun. When it does, you will be assigned a random place in line (alongside everyone else who also arrives before the event begins).”
My question is; is it better to wait on this page to be placed into the line or it is better to try and jump on exactly at 1pm to grab tickets? I haven’t done a D23 ticket drop before so I am curious as to the strategies.
