We’ve discovered a new way to get a “free” gift card at Universal.
On a recent trip to Universal Orlando, we found something pretty rare: a way to get FREE MONEY from a theme park. As you would expect, however, there is a catch.
We’ve discovered that those who sign up for a Universal Visa will receive a $200 Universal gift card. As part of this in-park offer, you can also get two Coca-Cola Freestyle souvenir cups.
There are two MASSIVE caveats here, though. The first is that the promotion only applies to those who sign up IN the park. In other words, applying for a Universal Visa online won’t work. Second, the guest must not only apply for the Visa, but they must also be APPROVED for the Visa before receiving the gift card.
According to Universal, some of the potential benefits that come along with a Universal Rewards Plus Visa Signature Card include 4% back in rewards on qualifying Universal purchases, 2% back in rewards on Travel, Gas, and Dining purchases, and 1% back in rewards on all other purchases. However, the card has a $99 annual fee. The regular Universal Rewards Visa Signature Card has no annual fee but only offers 2% back in rewards on qualifying Universal purchases and 1% back in rewards on all other purchases. In addition, Universal offers exclusive lounges for cardholders in both the Orlando and Hollywood resorts.
If you’re considering signing up for a Universal Visa and can make your way to the parks soon, it might be worth waiting to do so for a $200 gift card. Stay tuned to DFB for further Universal deals.
