There is a lot coming to Disney World this summer including the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the opening of CommuniCore Hall & Plaza. However, Disney World isn’t the only theme park debuting new attractions in Orlando this summer.
Universal Orlando Resort will be debuting a brand-new land at Universal Studios Florida, DreamWorks Land. This new land will be opening on June 14th, 2024, and we just got a few more sneak peeks into this new land from Universal Orlando.
DreamWorks Land will feature three main areas that are themed to Shrek, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda. Within these areas, there will be shows, character meet and greets, a rollercoaster, interactive elements, shopping, and dining. We have seen some concept art for the different areas, and Universal has released a list of the attractions within DreamWorks Land. You can find out more about what is coming right here.
Universal Orlando posted a short video today with a few more details and a look at some of the attractions coming to DreamWorks Land. We started off with Dean, Creative Director at Universal Creative, in the Shrek area. In this area, you will be able to meet Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona. In addition, we got a look at another “meet and greet” with Pinocchio at his Fact Shack. You can even ring a bell to have him tell you something that may not be quite true.
As well, you can even visit Shrek’s Outhouse and go down the slide to hear a surprise! How could we say no to a slide inside of an outhouse? That’s totally normal. The Shrek area will feature lots of interactive elements, play areas, meet and greets, and a dining location called Swamp Snacks.
We also got a peek at Trolls Treats. This dining location will offer the Poppy-licious Pink and BroZone Berry Ice Cream treats.
We also got a quick look at the “Trolls Trollercoaster” where you will hop on board a Caterbus, as you explore through Trolls land. The “Trolls Trollercoaster” will be a family-friendly roller coaster that will have you escaping evil spiders. In addition to the roller coaster and Trolls Treats, there will also be a playground and a merchandise store called High Five Hideaway.
Finally, we got a look at the gong you can ring to alert the entire village inside of Po’s Kung Fun Training Camp. You just need to pull a rope to set the gong ringing! The Kung Fu Panda area will also feature a play area and an interactive meet and greet experience with Po at Po Live!
The new DreamWorks Land is getting close to opening and it is always fun to get a look at some of the new elements. You can watch the full video from Universal Orlando right here:
