EPCOT has undergone a massive multi-year transformation that will soon be complete.
CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza are set to open on June 10th, and that should signal the last of the big construction left in EPCOT — for now, at least. CommuniCore Hall will host a Mickey and Friends meet-and-greet, but today, we noticed something else is coming to the building: a new food spot. SAY WHAT?
A new sign has appeared near the Mickey and Friends sign at CommuniCore Hall. This sign says “Festival Favorites.” Now, that name is familiar because, in the past, Festival Favorites was a festival booth that served up favorite menu items from past festivals. We’ve seen it at the 2020 Festival of the Holidays, the 2021 Festival of the Arts, and the 2021 Flower and Garden Festival. But this looks like it could be a permanent fixture here, don’t you think?
Our first thought is that this is a new permanent location for a Festival Favorites booth, especially as we noticed it’s right across from an area with new seating. At this time, it’s hard to tell if there will be seating inside this new location.
We also spoke with Cast Members who hinted this would be a food booth, but Disney has not officially confirmed anything yet. Will it be open year-round? Or will it only be open during festivals? We have so many questions! It is interesting that it’s been given a permanent place in EPCOT, though, unlike the other festival food booths.
In the past, festival food booths under the same name have served things like Remy’s Ratatouille and a Beef Brisket Burnt Ends and Smoked Pork Belly Slider. Who knows what Disney will put on the NEW menu! Any suggestions? We vote for the iconic Avocado Toast from BRUNCHCOT!
We’ll just have to wait and see if Disney makes an announcement about this spot. We’re hoping it will be open during the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, but we’ll have to wait and see, right?
In EPCOT, the new CommuniCore Hall building has the signage up for Festival Favorites! 🥳
Once upon a time, this was the name of a festival booth that would serve popular dishes from past festivals, so we’re excited to see what’s to come for this space! 🙌 pic.twitter.com/6K9U5Vi5Or

Absolutely ridiculous that there is no festival between F&G and Food and Wine. Epcot will be a ghost town in the festivaless months.
