We love finding out just what is going on around the Disney World parks and hotels, and keeping up with the latest construction permits Disney files is a great way to do it!
Between new restaurants, rides, and rethemed classics, Disney is always trying to keep things interesting and exciting for us, and the EPCOT transformation is the perfect example. It’s all set to be completed next month, and we just got another sign that we’re getting closer and closer.
We’re always on the hunt for the latest permits filed by Disney to get an idea of what sort of changes might be coming to the parks, and we found a few you might want to know about this time around!
Disney World’s EPCOT Transformation is almost complete, with CommuniCore Hall and Plaza finally opening on June 10th. We’ve been keeping up with all the latest updates we can see in the park, and now it looks like Disney is buttoning up the final touches based on a new permit we found.
A new permit shows that Disney is ready to do some more electrical work at CommuniCore Hall! The permit isn’t any more specific than that, but it does mean that things are moving along as planned over in this area. We recently caught Disney testing the CommuniCore Hall lights at night — and it looks pretty cool.
Not only that, but a general construction permit has been filed for work at Mission: SPACE. The permit has an expiration date of one year, so it’s likely that this is just a small project — but we’ll let you know if we learn of any more updates.
Also in EPCOT, the Rose & Crown Pub is slated to have some mechanical work done to it, according to a recently filed permit. As of now, no closures are showing up on the Disney World website but we’re keeping an eye out for any changes!
If you’re thinking about booking a stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, you might want to know that some rooms at this hotel will be getting new outlets and some other electrical work done in the near future. Quite a few permits have been filed for work here, and although Disney hasn’t made any official announcements, it could impact your stay.
