The Disney World parks have some phenomenal food, there’s no denying it, but you can never discredit what you might find at the hotels around the resort!

Pop Century Resort

Each Disney World hotel offers a variety of food items. Some are great and some you might want to avoid. But when it comes to breakfast foods, snacks, and desserts, each hotel has something worth trying. We noticed that two Disney World hotels have started offering new filled croissants, so of course, we HAD to go give them a try!

Now, the two croissants we’re sharing with you today are anything but ordinary croissants. These pastries are jam-packed full of flavor and filling. Looks like Disney is hopping on the filled croissant TikTok trend, and we’re not mad about it! We’ll start our tour de croissants over at Disney’s Pop Century Hotel‘s food court, Everything Pop.

Everything Pop!

The PB & J Croissant is currently being offered at Everything Pop! for $5.79. Just as you might expect, this is a take on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in croissant form. Half of the croissant is dusted with powdered sugar while the other has a berry-colored frosting and is dotted with dried berries. Frankly, the frosting doesn’t add much to this snack other than make it prettier and, ultimately, messier to eat.

PB & J Croissant

The croissant is STUFFED full of peanut butter and jelly. It’s overstuffed, bursting at the seams. We suggest using a fork and knife for this pastry. The jelly is strawberry, so if you prefer grape jelly — beware. Other than how messy and challenging it is to eat, we found it to be one of the best versions of a PB&J that we’ve ever had (seriously)! If you love Smuckers Uncrustables, you’ll love this — it’s like an Uncrustable on steroids.

It’s FULL of filling!

The peanut butter is whipped and sweet (kind of like a peanut butter pie), which prevents it from being too heavy. This could be a breakfast or lunch, but it’s truthfully more like a dessert because of how sweet it is. It’s delicious, big enough to share, and a great price for what you get!

Next, we’re heading over to Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort!

Sassagoula Floatworks

At Sassagoula Floatworks, you’ll find the ultimate breakfast pastry — the Espresso Croissant! This croissant is $4.49, and it is HEAVY. It was bigger than the plate it was served on. The outside is dusted with cocoa powder and an espresso glaze is on top. It is also filled TO THE BRIM with espresso cream filling. This is another croissant you’ll probably want a fork and knife for!

The croissant is flaky, buttery, and delicious (and we haven’t even gotten to the filling yet)! The cream has a nice coffee flavor, but it is pretty sweet. It’s a good dessert for someone who likes a splash of coffee with their cream and sugar. The filling is less like the whipped peanut butter in the PB&J croissant and more like buttercream frosting. It’s very good, but also very rich and sweet. We would happily share half or save the rest for later because this croissant is large and dense.

Again, these croissants are a great price for what you get. They croissants could make good, quick breakfasts or a tasty afternoon snack. Be ready to get a little messy, though, if you eat these as finger food. Overall, a quick trip to either Pop Century or Port Orleans — French Quarter might be worth it if you are a fan of these flavors!
