A building in EPCOT is being repurposed for several weeks, and only certain people will be allowed inside!
It’s possible that not every Disney fan would be able to point out the Odyssey pavilion on a map, but if you’ve been to any of the EPCOT festivals, there’s a good chance that you’ve been inside it! This pavilion is frequently used to house EPCOT festival booths — it has hosted booths like Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Festival of the Arts and Brew-Wing at the Food & Wine Festival. Most recently, it’s been the home of Citrus Blossom at the Flower & Garden Festival (and if you haven’t gotten the tasty Orange Sesame Tempura Shrimp there yet, HURRY! They’ll only be around for about another week!).
Soon, the Odyssey will be repurposed, and this time it’s NOT going to be an EPCOT festival booth.
For a limited time, the Odyssey pavilion will be a Disney Vacation Club lounge in EPCOT!
The normal DVC lounge (the one above Journey Into Imagination with Figment) is temporarily closing from June 2nd through July 13th, and during that time the lounge will be in the Odyssey pavilion instead. Disney stated that “the Member Lounge in the Imagination! Pavilion will be temporarily closed from June 2, 2024 – July 13, 2024 due to a planned refurbishment.” It’s possible we’ll see some updates and changes to that lounge when it reopens on July 14th!
Disney seems to have planned this refurbishment of the DVC lounge to be in between festivals so that the Odyssey pavilion is available as the replacement lounge. From May 28th through August 28th, there will be no festival in EPCOT (since the Flower & Garden Festival ends on May 27th and Food & Wine doesn’t start until August 29th). That gives Disney plenty of time for the refurbishment.
DVC is Disney’s timeshare service. Members have a certain number of points, and they can use those points to stay at Disney properties around the world. There are a few bonus perks that come with DVC membership, like discounts on food and merchandise and access to these exclusive lounges in Disney World.
The lounge at the Imagination Pavilion usually has comfy seating, free snacks and drinks, and a kids’ entertainment area. We’ll be sure to check out the temporary location at the Odyssey to see what pops up there.
We’re still waiting to hear more details, but the normal DVC lounge location is usually open from 11AM to 6PM, so the one in the Odyssey may have the same hours.
The area will be exclusively for DVC Members, so make sure to bring your membership card and photo ID when you visit, as they’ll probably be required for check-in at the lounge. Members can usually bring a few guests with them to the lounge. At the current lounge, the rule is that each Member can bring up to four guests (or the number of guests on their Resort reservation).
Not sure where the Odyssey pavilion is? It’s located just past Test Track on the way to EPCOT’s World Showcase. It’s off to the side a bit, and you need to cross a little bridge to get to it. This pavilion has been used for a variety of purposes in the past — it’s sort of the catch-all multipurpose building of EPCOT.

Matthew Brewster says
It is unfair to AP guests to restrict the new Odyssey lounge to only DVC members! Why not allow the Lounge to cater to BOTH groups?
