If you’re planning a visit to Disney World in June, here’s something to look out for!

There’s a TON of planning that goes into a Disney World vacation. From booking those must-have dining reservations to finding the perfect hotel for your family, there are so many things to think about! In fact, you might get so caught up in getting those big-picture things in place that you get caught off guard by unexpected mistakes. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with the heads-up!

If you’re heading to Disney World this June, beware — you might be making the unexpected mistake of poorly planning your visit to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom!

Now, before you panic, don’t worry — we’re HUGE EPCOT and Magic Kingdom fans, and we’re not saying that you should avoid these parks in June. But there are several big changes and special offerings happening in both parks this June, so you’ll need to plan for them accordingly!

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza

CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza are opening on June 10th, and we expect that the area around both could be busy because everyone is going to want to check out the NEW spaces, ourselves included! But there’s something else that could bring a lot of people to this area: CommuniCore Hall will also host a Mickey and Friends meet and greet spot. EVERYONE wants to meet Mickey, right?

However, the best part of CommuniCore opening is that it’s another air-conditioned space where you can take a break from the heat. There will likely be quite a large indoor area where you can take a breather, cool off, and relax.

New Encanto Show

Okay, this one is for you Encanto fans. A brand new Encanto show is coming to EPCOT at the CommuniCore Plaza stage, which will be the first bit of entertainment to use this brand-new space. The show is called ¡Celebración Encanto! and will feature Mirabel and Bruno leading a sing-along of songs from the Encanto movie.

However, if you aren’t a big Encanto fan, you might want to steer clear of this area, as it’s likely to be popular with new entertainment being hosted there.

V.I.Passholder Days

If you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder, you’ll want to take advantage of V.I.Passholder Days, which run through June 6th. You’ll want to make sure to pick up your free Stitch Magnet at Creations Shop in EPCOT, as well as check out the exclusive Stitch Cake Cone available at Sunshine Seasons, also at EPCOT.

You’ll also find an exclusive Passholder lounge in EPCOT inside Restaurant Marrakesh in EPCOT! The lounge provides complimentary snacks and drinks, plenty of seats, and a special character meet and greet.

EPCOT isn’t the only park that will be opening new attractions in June! Magic Kingdom will also likely be busy in the coming month, so be sure to plan accordingly.

A Brand New Ride

So the most exciting thing to happen in June in Disney World is that a brand NEW ride will be opening in Magic Kingdom on June 28th. Yes, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will finally be ready to take you on an adventure through the Louisiana Bayou. Needless to say, you can expect BIG crowds in Magic Kingdom on opening day (and probably for a while thereafter).

However, you might be seeing a lot of people heading to Magic Kingdom ahead of June 28th for early previews. Previews for D23 Gold members will be held on June 22nd, while Annual Passholders will get a chance to ride it early on June 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 20th! DVC Members will get their chance to ride on June 12th and 19th, while Cast Members can check it out on June 3rd and 7th, as well as on June 23rd and 26th. Magic Kingdom is going to be HOPPING! 🐸
