We’re trying not to get too bent out of shape over Universal’s latest announcement but, it’s BIG!
If it feels like updates about Universal’s Epic Universe park are coming at you fast and furious it’s for good reason. So much has already been shared from Universal about a few of the lands you’ll find in each park including exclusive rides, restaurants, and so much more. We’ve also been keeping up with the latest progress on the park and the surrounding 3 hotel’s construction as they start making more visible progress. But, now, Universal has just released another update that will help you prepare to experience the upcoming park before you’re able to step foot inside.
If you’ve been eagerly waiting by every communication device you own to find out when you can get the first look at Universal’s Epic Universe you might get a chance sooner than you thought.
Back in January, we first learned that the Universal Legacy Store in Universal’s City Walk would be abruptly closing to make way for a preview center full of ways to experience the highly-anticipated new theme park. If you’re not totally familiar with where this store once stood, you’ll find it on the side closest to the entrance of Islands of Adventure between the BigFire, CowFish, and Vivo restaurants on the ground floor. Now, it seems that Universal is ready to share more details with us about the center and what we’ll find inside!
Starting in June 2024, Universal will start welcoming visitors to the Universal Epic Universe Preview Center. Universal expects this new area to open as an “all-new interactive experience that allows guests to get an up-close look at the new theme park ahead of its opening in 2025.” Inside, you’ll find a massive model of the entire park offering its visitors a more comprehensive overview of the park’s layout and features, including each of the 5 lands.
The preview center also aims to highlight many of the attractions and experiences within Epic Universe. Visitors of the center will have the opportunity to watch exciting elements of the park’s model come to life through augmented reality on their compatible mobile devices, shop brand-new collections of Epic Universe merch, and stop to pose for pictures with unique backgrounds themed to each of the park’s five lands — Celestial Park, How To Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
We’re beside ourselves with excitement at the chance to get an even further peek at the new park and see how it comes to life right before our eyes!
We’ll be keeping up with all the construction progress, and future announcements, and will even be out on the opening day of Universal’s Epic Universe! Check to make sure you’re following us for all the latest updates and stay tuned with DFB for more.
