Y’ALL. Can you believe it’s almost time to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom?!
The Princess and the Frog-themed ride will open to everyone on June 28th, 2024. But previews for exclusive groups of Disney fans start next week 🤯. We just got a first look inside the attraction, but now the CONSTRUCTION WALLS are down! Let’s get into it!
We were at Magic Kingdom at rope drop, and we were SO EXCITED to see that Disney has taken the walls down around Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
And with those walls down, we’re getting our FIRST LOOK at the ride sign!
We know that lots of things change between the initial concept for a ride and the actual construction and ride design, but wow, that sign is SO CLOSE to the one we saw in a model displayed at the D23 Expo in 2022.
New Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Souvenirs Are Coming to Disney World!
We were there at rope drop to get our first look at what was behind the walls, and there were big crowds waiting for the rope to drop in Adventureland. Kinda chaotic!
We can finally see those adorable frogs on a log!
Check out the lilypads!
It’s a beautiful day for this reveal for sure!
And look at this Walt Disney quote on the banner!
Everybody’s welcome!
We really can’t get over the transformation. It looks so lush!
The mist is on here.
We can’t stop walking around and looking at the ride! There’s so much to take in!
And we now know what has become of the former Laughing Place Playground — it is the location of the stroller parking for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
And the trash cans have a new theme — “Keep Our Bayou Clean.”
Cast Members are riding the attraction today — looks like a good time!
And we’re also getting our first glimpse of the ride Cast Members’ costumes — and seeing that you’ll still get a pretty big splash at the bottom of the lift hill!
The costumes include blue patterned shirts, yellow neck scarves, and khaki shorts — and a yellow hat, which they’re having to hold on to pretty tightly on the ride’s drop!
We caught Disney doing some filming in front of the sign this morning, too.
No doubt a ride preview we’ll be seeing somewhere soon!
As we mentioned, last night we got the biggest sneak peek we’ve seen so far INSIDE the ride via a YouTube video released by Walt Disney Imagineering! You can see pics of many of the animatronics and the finale scene of the ride right here! (But WARNING, there are spoilers there!)
Let’s Go INSIDE Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for the FIRST TIME!
And if you’re curious about the music in the new ride, a new song — “Secret Spice” — has been revealed. It’s by Grammy Award-winner PJ Morton, and it plays during the ride’s final scene. It’s being released to all streaming platforms on May 31st, so we’ll be able to listen to the full version SOON.
Now, if you’re planning to ride when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disney World, here’s what you need to know! There are two ways to do so. You can either purchase Genie+ and make a Lightning Lane reservation for the attraction, or you can join the Virtual Queue at 7AM or 1PM. The Virtual Queue can be TRICKY, especially for brand new rides – learn all about it here.
Just remember that you won’t be able to walk up and get in a standby line for this ride when it opens — you’ll need to prepare by using Genie+ or getting in that Virtual Queue, so do your prep work in advance!
Don’t forget — this ride is also coming to Disneyland! Construction is moving quickly in California, too! We don’t have an opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland just yet, but it is set to open sometime in 2024.
Just like today — we’re monitoring the progress on this new ride every single day in Magic Kingdom! So, keep following DFB for the latest on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and all things Disney World!

The trademark Disney attention to detail and presentation is stellar in this transformation, but the missing piece of the puzzle is the guests are not familiar with the story or the characters. It is veering toward becoming a cool down boat ride during the blazing summer months.
