Happy June! Not only are we less than a month away from the first official day of summer, but it’s also Pride Month!
To celebrate, the Disney parks are offering special food and drink options for the month, like unique cocktails in Disney Springs and sweet treats in Magic Kingdom. Now, there are two special desserts at Disneyland Resort you may want to check out!
Right now, at Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff, Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen, and Trolley Treats in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, you can try the Rainbow Mickey Apple and Rainbow Mickey Cereal Treat!
The Rainbow Mickey Apple is a granny smith apple dipped in caramel and milk chocolate, decorated with two marshmallow ears and topped with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple sanding sugars, with white M&M’S chocolate candies. It’s available now for $12.99.
We’ll be honest; this tastes just like any other chocolate and caramel apple you’ll find in Disneyland, just with a little extra sugar at the bottom! Know what it reminds us of? Those sand art crafts we made when we were kids! You know, you’d get those clear containers, take some rainbow-colored sand, then dump it in the bottle? Apparently, that was “art”? Either way, it was FUN.
Now, between the rainbow sugar and the rich chocolate, this can get a little messy! Keep that in mind when you check out, and be sure to pick up some napkins. While this isn’t Disney’s most groundbreaking treat, it’s a classic, fun dessert if you’re looking for a simple Disney snack. Plus, it just looks so cute — look at those candy buttons!
Disney also released a Rainbow Mickey Cereal Treat, a Mickey-shaped cereal treat dipped in white chocolate and decorated with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple sanding sugars. You can get this one for $7.49.
Again, just like the apple, this is a standard rice krispie — er, cereal — treat but with a little extra COLOR, thanks to those sprinkles.
Good news — this was another great treat! Listen, these might not be the flashiest desserts on the market, but sometimes, all we need is a good old-fashioned carnival snack, like a candy apple or a rice cereal treat. Unsurprisingly, this one is pretty sweet and sugary, but most people probably know what they’re getting into when they order this kind of thing. If you’re looking to celebrate Pride and you love rice cereal treats, this will be a great choice!
