We’re BIG fans of all things Disney snacks, which is why we’re called Disney FOOD Blog!
However, not all snacks are built the same. We certainly have our fair share of snacks that we’re NOT fans of, the snacks that we love that other people don’t (and vice versa), but there are a few snacks out there that are practically perfect according to just about everybody.
Of course, one of the snacks that qualifies as “practically perfect” has to be Dole Whip! This is a classic, iconic Disney World treat that’s been around for decades. It’s perfect on a hot day!
Dole Whips also come in a variety of different flavors and forms. You can grab just a regular pineapple Dole Whip, or you can mix it up and grab a Dole Whip Float! We’ve seen them served with and without alcohol, in regular cups and in bathtubs (not kidding), and Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs will even let you grab a sampler flight to try three different flavors at once!
And for all our friends who are lactose intolerant, regular Dole Whip has no dairy in it, so you can enjoy to your heart’s content!
But there’s another snack we can’t avoid mentioning because it’s ALSO perfect, if a bit more basic. That’s a Mickey Premium Bar!
These can be found all over the Disney World parks and hotels — even at your local grocery store in many areas because they’re THAT iconic! These are relatively simple, just vanilla ice cream inside a chocolate shell, but BOY are they good!
However, you can also grab a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich if you’re looking for something a little different, but still familiar. This is cookies and cream ice cream between two chocolate sandwich cookies.
Both of these are great nostalgic treats to satisfy your sweet tooth if you’re looking for something classic, but there are plenty of other, just as delicious, options out there! Allow us to introduce you to some more of our favorite snacks that are beloved by nearly everyone (or should be)!
Cheshire Cat Tail
Another simple treat that just has a hint of Disney magic — the Cheshire Cat Tail can be found at Cheshire Cafe in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom. It’s a chocolate pastry twist with drizzled purple and pink frosting on it.
Is it something you could also grab at the grocery store? Probably, but if you’ve got a picky kid (or you’re picky yourself) and you want a reliable start to the morning, this is the way to go!
Gaston’s Cinnamon Roll
Over at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, you’ll find a Warm Cinnamon Roll that the vast majority of the Disney World population refers to as Gaston’s Cinnamon Roll. Why? Because it’s MASSIVE!
This one is easily shareable and it’s a delicious way to start your day. Don’t forget to ask for some extra icing if you like your cinnamon rolls extra sweet!
Chicken Fried Rice
Over in Animal Kingdom, you’ll find some amazing Chicken Fried Rice at Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe (the quick service location, not the table service spot)!
While this is just a side item, it’s easily large enough for a small meal! It’s a little more adventurous than some other options, but still familiar enough to appease picky eaters.
Liege Waffle
If you’re looking for a little something sweet but not TOO sweet, head over to Connections Cafe in EPCOT for the Liege Waffle!
This waffle is a relatively small size, but WOW is it good! Soft, pillowy, sweet — it’s just perfection in waffle form. Sometimes it changes based on the season or a special event, but it’s still the same base recipe. Please don’t pass this one up!
