Picture this: You just rode Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for the first time and you LOVED IT. So much, in fact, that you want to buy yourself a little souvenir to commemorate the occasion. You head into the new gift shop by the ride to check out all the themed merchandise, find the PERFECT item (maybe it’s that super cute Loungefly…or the firefly that lights up…or it could be the Tiana-themed Minnie ears), and then turn to find the register so you can check out, when all of a sudden you see it. The incredibly long check-out LINE. 😱
We’re expecting the new ride to be super popular, especially when it first opens, which means the accompanying gift shop will probably also be very crowded. So do you really have to wait in a long line just to buy your Tiana’s Bayou Adventure souvenirs? Not if you know this super handy HACK!
Disney has announced that the new Critter Co-Op store (which is right next to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and will be full of ride-themed souvenirs) will have the handy Mobile Check Out feature, which means you can SKIP those long lines at check-out! Mobile Check Out is a feature on theMy Disney Experience app.
Using Mobile Check Out, you can scan the barcodes of all the items you want to buy and then pay directly in the app. If you are signed in to your My Disney Experience account with an Annual Pass or DVC Membership linked, your merchandise discounts will be automatically applied. A barcode will pop up after you pay, and you’ll just show that to a Cast Member near the exit to the store so they know you’ve paid, and they’ll give you a bag for all your items! Easy!
When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure first opens, new merchandise will actually be located over at the Emporium (the big gift shop on Main Street, U.S.A.) instead of at Critter Co-Op. Disney said that the merch will “hop over to Critter Co-Op in Frontierland” shortly after the ride’s opening day. The Emporium has Mobile Check Out, too!
We got an exclusive sneak peek at the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure merchandise, and we think y’all are gonna love it! One of our favorite items is the interactive firefly, which lights up when it’s around other fireflies.
Critter Co-Op is actually just one of two Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-themed gift shops. The other one is Tiana’s Bayou General, which looks like it’ll have “groceries, housewares, and dry goods” if the sign that Disney shared a picture of can be taken literally. We’ll have to wait until that one opens to find out what’s inside!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure officially opens on June 28th, though some people get to preview the ride EARLY, including Cast Members, Annual Passholders, DVC Members, and D23 Gold Members. You can learn more about those previews here:

You touched on a couple discounts that are automatically taken but how about Disney Visa card?
