We just got a BIG hint that a Christmas-time event will likely be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year!
It may only be June, but since Halloween starts in August at Disney World with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, it just seems fitting that we are already getting hints about what to expect during the winter holidays.
While Disney World has not officially announced that Disney Jollywood Nights will be returning this year, we did notice that they posted a call for online submissions for Seasonal Dancers for Disney Jollywood Nights. This is a pretty good sign that event will be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this Christmas season.
Disney Jollywood Nights debuted last year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This Christmas event joined Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom during the Christmas season. Disney Jollywood Nights features special entertainment, festive snacks and drinks, character meet and greets, lots of Christmas decorations. We attended both events last year, and while we preferred Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney Jollywood Nights still has so much to offer!

Some of the special entertainment offerings at Disney Jollywood Nights in 2023 included bands and singers throughout the park, DJs in Animation Courtyard and on Hollywood Boulevard, and some special shows. You could see the Holidays in Hollywood Show, a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed sing-along, and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks show.
The event also featured some rare meet and greets with Powerline Max, Chip ‘n’ Dale as the Rescue Rangers, and Phineas and Ferb. In addition to entertainment, you could grab a large variety of exclusive snacks during Disney Jollywood Nights. One of our favorite snacks from last year was the Spicy Korean Chicken Funnel Cake at Epic Eats.

During the event you can also ride many of the rides in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, take in all the beautiful decorations, and shop exclusive merchandise. If you are curious about all the event festivities and want to see all the fun we had, make sure to check out our video from last year’s Disney Jollywood Nights event:
While we had a great time at the Disney Jollywood Nights event last year, we were a bit overwhelmed by how crowded the event was and overall, we felt that we got a better value from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. However, you never know what changes and updates Disney World might make to this year’s event.
We are here to keep you updated as we find out more about this year’s event. Stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney World news!

Last year the only exclusive merchandise was a t-shirt. I hope they have more this year!

Agree with Tricia. Having been to MVMCP multiple years I was expecting more with merchandise. Jollywood Nights just wasn’t our thing I guessed. On the night we went in December it felt like it was more geared toward the adult drinking crowd which we’re not a part of anymore. Maybe it’s also due to the fact we still miss the Osborne Lights so much and the comparison to MVMCP. Hubby said after we left he never wanted to do Jollywood Nights again if offered. I would at least consider it depending upon if any changes were made.

Last year people were wondering why there weren’t any drinks, icecream, and popcorn like they normally have at after hours events. I hope they do better this year.
