Here at DFB, we’re constantly on the lookout for important news to report in Disney World.
Whether that’s something new like a piece of merchandise or a snack, an important update like a Genie+ change, or a temporary problem like a ride closure, there’s actually a LOT that happens in the parks and resorts on a daily basis. And our in-park reporters are often seen dashing all over the place to get answers to the most pressing questions!
Recently, the team here at DFB has been working on updating our DFB Guide to Disney World Dining, which is an excellent resource for planning your upcoming vacation. The guide gets updates twice a year to make sure that the information is accurate and fresh, and those updates often mean a fair bit of on-the-ground research for our theme park reporters.
In one particular case, we needed to know if you can still order the delicious Sebastian’s Bistro Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding at Banana Cabana — a fun little hack to pick up a yummy dessert without a dining reservation. We’d had luck in the past with this tip but wanted to make sure that it still stood, so we sent a reporter to find out.
Well, our reporter at the time was finishing up a morning at Magic Kingdom, so we had to squeeze in this resort visit to an already busy day. To get to and from Caribbean Beach Resort (heading to their next destination), our reporter had to take two Skyliner routes and a bus. The entire journey and interlude to the day took a couple of hours, and by the end of the day, our reporter had clocked over 17,000 steps.
Going on these mini-adventures can be time-consuming and exhausting, but it’s SO worth it to provide our readers with a wealth of knowledge from the parks. Taking these side quests means that we’re sure our tips and advice are always accurate and personally tested. We’re not just passing on tips that we’ve heard from others — no! — we’re actually fact-checking things as we go and learning new information daily.
Our reporters are some of the best in the business because they truly do the hard work to answer questions for our team and our followers! And our reporter who went to Caribbean Beach? He got the bread pudding update we were waiting for — you CAN still order the iconic Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding at Banana Cabana, as well as an allergy-friendly version! That’s awesome dessert news!
So no matter how many bus rides and Skyliner trips it takes, we’ll make sure to report to you with accurate news and tips! Stay tuned to DFB for all the latest information from the Disney World parks.

Love the bread pudding trend (especially since so many these days omit the raisins – sorry nature’s candy lovers!). This one just made our next trip must-dos. Maybe an all-bread pudding article one day for those of us who may have missed your reviews of others out there? 😀

Still think Raglan Road’s bread pudding is the best and most authentic but I still love trying all the others.
