Big CHANGES are coming to a classic Magic Kingdom attraction, and Disney fans have mixed feelings.
The Country Bear Jamboree is being completely re-done, and while some elements will stay the same, parts of the show will be changed and new songs will be added. Now, we finally know more about these changes!
It’s official — Disney’s Country Bear Jamboree is changing and we can’t wait to see what the new updates will bring! We’ve been keeping up with all the latest announcements, and now Disney has shared a first look at some of the new costumes coming to the show (with the help of some of our favorite Country Bears, of course!)
We had previously caught a behind-the-scenes look at the new costumes for Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah! These three ladies will be pretty in pink in the new show, which is a huge step up from their previous blue costumes. You can see them at the bottom center of the concept art!
But, we can now see more of the updated character outfits, including plenty of ten-gallon hats, bolo ties, bandanas, and more.
Disney first announced the Country Bear Jamboree shake-up at the 2023 Destination D23 event. They revealed that the NEW show will debut in 2024 and the bears are learning an all-new act. However, Disney assured fans that the bears will still be singing some of their usual songs, just some songs will be in new styles, like country, rockabilly, and bluegrass.
Disney also said that the new show will be a take on the classic variety shows, like the ones found in Nashville. There’s going to be a new version of “Bare Necessities” in a rockabillly style!
Country Bear Jamboree is an opening day attraction in Frontierland in Magic Kingdom, meaning it opened with the park in 1971. The show is a “country and western musical revue” performed by animatronic bears.
And, you can check it out when it officially opens on July 17th!
We’ll be on the lookout for more news from Disney, so stay tuned to DFB for all the updates!

I’m glad I will down there when it re-opens. I was born in 1971. I celebrate milestones with the Magic Kingdom. I’m hoping that the show is awesome.
