We simply can’t get enough beignets so when we heard a new one was available at the Disneyland Resort, we couldn’t help but rush over to try it!
Beignets Expressed
Downtown Disney is full of great shops and eateries, and one of our absolute favorites is Beignets Expressed! Serving a wide variety of beignets, this small shop next to Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill and Patio is currently offering a new glazed beignet of the month and we tried it — here’s what we thought!
The new beignet-of-the-month you can get at Beignets Expressed is the Glazed Apple Pie à la Mode Beignet!
Glazed of the Month – Apple Pie à la Mode
This June 2024 offering is served hot and is made with apple pie-flavored icing, cinnamon sugar, and vanilla bean crème anglaise. The 4-pack costs $16.99.

These beignets were VERY sweet! We found them to be ooey, gooey, and delicious. We were also big fans of their soft texture. However, we felt they weren’t so much “Apple Pie à la Mode” and were kind of closer to apple fritter donuts in taste.
In our opinion, the beignets would’ve been better served with some apple chunks to enhance the texture and flavor. These beignets also had no ice cream element, which was a real missed opportunity. They have a great apple aftertaste, and some sort of ice cream addition would have taken these from a good dessert to a great one.

Overall, these are super solid beignets and ideal to share. The desired apple taste is there, but the missing elements have us longing for what could have been. Still, we think apple fans will like this and we recommend you try them out and let us know your review!

Hey, when you’re talking about Disneyland, can you please say Disneyland instead of Disney?
What is all the hoopla about Beignet’s. I have been eating them at Asian inspired buttets for years.
Cafe Du Monde still holds the crown, but NOLA is a long way from Anaheim!
This locale used to be Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen Express, which offered the absolute best breakfast burrito and the best coffee I have ever had in my life! I was sad when they did not reopen as Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen Express after the Covid lock-down. Still, we will stop by and try their beignets when next in Disneyland.
BTW, I am hearing the really hip Californians refer to Disneyland simply as, “Land,” and Disney World simply as, “World.” The rest of us mortals need to get with the program.
