You would think with as many snacks as Disney World has dropped in the parks lately that they’d take a break but, guess again! While several new treats just arrived at Disney World, we’ve got even MORE exciting menu changes to discuss.
We’ve seen Disney World switch up the menus (almost entirely) at its hotel restaurants lately (and add a mindblowing way to take our corn dog nuggets), but if you’ve been looking for a new boozy snack to sink your teeth into, there’s one Disney World hotel you need to visit!
If you’re willing to pull yourself away from Disney World’s theme parks and take a quick boat or monorail ride over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you might just find a hidden gem that we know won’t stay a secret long! Inside this hotel, you’ll find the resident quick service restaurant, Contempo Cafe, which serves up all kinds of offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to its visitors.
Gooood morning 👋 from Contempo Cafe! We’re here to try a new item this morning!

We learned that something new was coming to its menu, and based on its name alone, we couldn’t get ourselves over fast enough to try it. So, we hopped over to the restaurant and picked up the Smoked Cherry Old Fashioned Tart!
This tart is made of cherry ganache, Jack Daniel’s Crémeux, bitters chantilly, and topped with applewood-smoked bacon for $6.99. We almost couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw it — could this cheap, boozy treat really taste any good?
To our surprise — a resounding YES! This one was delightful! The Jack Daniel’s Crémeux is almost like a really thick cheesecake but creamier, and there’s a chocolate layer underneath that really enhances the flavor. The Cherry Ganache is almost like a black cherry flavor and is juicy when you bite into it, and the bitters chantilly provides a sweet, gummy flavor on top.
The only place this takes an interesting turn is with the applewood-smoked bacon and that’s because it’s very savory against all that sweetness. Don’t let that mislead you, though! The bacon wasn’t bad at all, has good flavor, and is perfectly chewy. It’s just a stark contrast against so much of the sweet in the rest of the tart!
If you’re someone who really enjoys an old-fashioned and wouldn’t mind trying it out in dessert-form, this one is worth a try. Or maybe you’re just someone looking for something besides your standard Disney cupcake. However, If you don’t like a thick creamy tart or don’t like the way Jack Daniel’s Crémeux tastes, you probably wouldn’t appreciate the taste of this tart and should probably want to stick to something more traditional. You only have until June 16th to give this limited-time treat a try!

This looks amazing. So sad that we are so far away, and impromptu trips are just not possible. We’ll have to look out for similar treats for our next trip.
