Toy Story Mania might be one of the most enjoyable yet hardest rides on your body at Disney World and yet, you continue to ride it again and again. Disney World had rides built for all ages with over-the-top theming, larger-than-life characters brought to life on screen and in front of your eyes, and even a customizable ride, too! But nothing can quite compare to how quickly you shrink down in size and bring you back to being a kid again quite like stepping through Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This incredible land might be a few years old by now, but it looks like it hasn’t aged one bit. In fact, here is where you’ll find one of our most cherished rides in all of Disney World!
Almost everyone remembers the first time they were introduced to Toy Story and its beloved characters. Whether by movies, books, toys, or even meeting the characters for the first time stepping into Disney World, this incredibly popular film franchise seems to be one storyline that adults and kids seem to enjoy equally and come together about.
But, if you can remember back before Toy Story Land was built as a dedicated area with even MORE Toy Story-themed rides and restaurants, there was Toy Story Mania.
This attraction was revolutionary to interactive rides in Disney World and took challenging your family and friends to a whole other level. If you’re not already familiar with the ride, this attraction takes you through a nostalgia-fueled queue with board games, card games, crayons and markers, and even a few of Andy’s drawings that are meant to be set pieces as he plays with his toys. If you keep a keen eye out, you might even get a chance to hear Mr. Potato Head himself speak to you in the line!
Once you’ve wrapped around through the amazing queue pointing out all the toys and games you probably either played with as a child or knew of people who played with them (and probably checked to make sure that backache is alright because your age just hit you like a ton of bricks), you’ll find yourself stepping into Andy’s room! You’ll know you’re there thanks to the white and blue clouds in the wallpaper and his massively tall bed sitting inside the room.
But, as a new toy in Andy’s room, you’re in luck because the rest of the toys are ready to have some fun! They’ve set up midway games that you can play from the comfort of your ride vehicle. All you’ve got to do is concentrate on the screen, pull the popping lever at the end of your colorful cannon, and score as many points as you can before your final game’s time runs out! Can you score high enough to earn the top prize at the end of the game? Or better yet, best in the vehicle or for the entire day?
If this sounds like your kind of fun or a ride that you simply can’t complete your trip without riding at least once you’ve got to see our brand new Toy Story Mania shirts! They’re made to look just like the midway lettering you’ll find within the attraction and show off your champion status (because we know you’ve just dominated the whole ride).
There are several different base colors to choose from including red, navy blue, and yellow, and come in either a short or long-sleeve shirt style perfect to wear for any time of the year!
These are great shirts to wear (and match with your group) around Disney World or show off your amazing skills while at home, work, or play.

Lucretia Kleinman says
We love this ride, young and old! It is one of our favorites. Don Rickles is the best as Mr. Potato Head. When we were visiting in March, my son in law and his 4 year old son did it 4 times! Those games are so fun. I have the hardest time getting those loops around the Martians. One of the best rides in Hollywood Studios.
