NEW attractions have finally opened in EPCOT! The transformation is finally complete! The new festival areas are officially open, and you can find a new quick-service restaurant, some relaxing seating, and a new meet-and-greet inside the new building.
Hopefully, we’ll see even more get added to the spaces as we get closer to the Food & Wine Festival. Disney mentioned that demonstrations, kitchens, concerts, and more would be available in these areas during the festivals. As of now though, there is a NEW Encanto stage show that you can watch, “¡Celebración Encanto!” This is an outdoor stage show, which may raise some concern since it rains A LOT in Florida. But we recently found out what happens when it does rain during this show!
“¡Celebración Encanto!” is performed on a covered stage in CommuniCore Plaza, however, it is only the stage that is covered. This means that if it rains the audience gets wet — very inconvenient.
No one wants to perform for an empty audience, especially when the show is very interactive and the audience is part of the dancing and singing. But we don’t think many people want to stand outside to watch a show while it’s raining on them. So what happens when it rains during a performance? Well, luckily the show must go on — indoors!
The cast of the show and all the guests moved into CommuniCore Hall to keep the celebration going! Guests were dancing and singing with all the characters including Mirabel and Bruno. It was really cool to see that a little rain doesn’t ruin this party!
When it’s not raining, the show is still very interactive. Volunteers are brought on stage to learn dances including line dances and to be part of the show by holding props. At the end of the show, Mirabel and Bruno run into the audience and a giant dance party ensues! It’s tons of fun and very entertaining for the whole family, kids and adults alike. The show lasts about 20 minutes with the dance party at the end running an additional 10 minutes.
The show is only temporary, running now through September 6th, so if you hope to see it and dance around with the Madrigal family, be sure to head to EPCOT this summer! It runs periodically throughout the day; find out the exact times on the Disney World app. You can learn more about the show, its songs, and audience participation at the link below.

beautiful gorgeous says
Many critics think this show was an after thought (thrown together at the last minute). Random trivia, people dancing along with song sequences on a screen and 2 characters showing up at the end. Communicore Hall looks like a Commons on a college campus. Many complaints considering the years waiting for this. Restaurant in the area Festival Favorites is a fraud. Food served is from South America (not any festival favorites). Traditional warm food is cold. Traditional cold drinks (daqueris) are warm. I hope it gets better in the future.
