Disney Vacation Club just announced the first-ever Welcome Home Weeks — a limited-time celebration that will run from July 22nd through August 24th. The celebration will feature special events, tasty treats, and exciting experiences exclusive to Disney Vacation Club Members!

What sort of events and perks will DVC Members get to experience during Welcome Home Weeks? We’re so glad you asked! Members who are eligible for Membership Extras and up to four guests can enjoy complimentary Mickey Mouse Ice Cream bars, ice cream sandwiches, or fruit bars at the following locations:
Walt Disney World Resort
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

WOW, as usual Disney throws crumbs to different groups of guests, thinking that will appease for the wild increases in prices and the inconveniences of the GENIE PLUS and the loss of the MAGICAL EXPRESS. Disney, make a change that everyone would love at the same time.
1. Add three rides to the Genie Plus just like the old FREE FAST PASS. This would cost Disney ZERO.
2. Bring back the Magical Express. I would be would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for it.
Of course, I haven’t timed my vacation during the Welcome Home Weeks, so it’s no gift to me as a DVC member. Do you think they will offer these perks over many future weeks? Hope so. Money is tight. I would like a few freebies.
I’m tired of hear about DVC! Iger and board have completely lost Walt’s vision. Reminder: he built these parks for middle class Americans but most of the visitors now are not them!
